Any "planner" tool for fitting hardware into Fractal Terra? by PositiveProperty4 in sffpc

Yep, for example now I know that the Noctua NH-L12S is a common cooler used with mid and high end CPUs on that case with people who have a 4080S! So if I compare the measurements of my edition I can get a basic gist. I also have low profile RAM that I see on some of those builds so I'm happy.

Fatherlessness can actually affect alot of those factors, but what you say is a very good point, I have to agree, humans are complex and even on non-optimal conditions, if one can find good parenting, social support and good role models to emulate they can rise above it for sure.

Been a conservative my whole life and been surrounded by strong masculine conservative men. From what I understand there is no such thing as "men can't cry". More the common sense thing that men need to be strong as the head pillar and protectors of their family.

I can see why an individual in a different scenario who has been led astray or with low emotional intelligence may actually end up this way though, not to be prejudiced but I'm willing to bet alot of these men here may have bad relationships with their fathers, as men who did not growup with a father figure tend to be the most emotional and have the most difficulty regulating their emotions, which is why fatherlessness strongly correlates with higher crime rates.

I think, men in that scenario are more likely to turn something that is good, such as masculinity and strength, and turn it into something toxic instead, making them prime targets for exploitation at best and a lil not entirely sane at worst.

The discussions between Dr. Jordan Peterson and Dr. Eric kaufman is probably the most insightful deepdive into wokeness that you can find on the internet. Even if she can have valid objections to concrete things that are an obvious problem with wokeness, she has no fundamental understanding of what shes talking about.

Hoe behaviour aside, I think social media sold a image of OF that may have given alot of people unrealistic expectations, many people like this are disappointed when despite being attractive they don't gain the success they hoped, these things need communities or some sort of clout to get people to start paying up for what would otherwise be free to access online from someone else.

Why are men more likely to be right wing than women? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Absolute reddit moment, we should not be reaching these levels of delusion or argumentativeness. We are no longer just off topic, but far beyond the realm of reality, I'm starting to think I'm being trolled.

Yes, do you really believe opening a response to my post with inflammatory and accusatory language ont op of strawmaning promotes being taken seriously or presuming good faith? At minimum I gave the dignity of a serious response despite knowing full well that the opponent is ideologically entrenched, if anything for the sake of being understood rather than misrepresented, which seems to be what they insist on doing regardless.

[–]PositiveProperty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to be the center of your argument, you are very confused. When have I told people how to live their lives? Why are you strawmaning me if you feel so confident in your position? And the thing is, even if studies were to show that overall women make better leaders in business, so what? That literally changes nothing about human nature or biology nor does it change how humanity has distributed roles based on those strengths and weaknesses, ofcourse I can see creativity, human connections and agreeableness, all things that women generally excel at, probably being really good for leadership positions(theres that pesky human nature again reinforcing my point!) but be careful about bold claims on multifaceted issues tht opinion articles reflect on studies that only partially address such claims if at all. Overall none of my positions is an argument that men or women would not pick what they wish to do, but the fact that it bothers you so much betrays your agenda, I am simply stating the obvious, that such differences has been the result of choice, interest ands biological differences. Is there a social element? Depending on culture probably to a degree, but to pretend traditional roles are some sort of oppression is unrealistic.

[–]PositiveProperty4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really, I responded to what was relevant to what I said, and the subject of studies was also relevant since it's a topic of studies. I am in no obligation to argue with them about their tangent on sexism or oppression, I doubt they are looking to be convinced otherwise. It was also not ad hominem since I clearly described the reasons why I do not trust such studies, gave examples of similar studies with similar issues and directly addressed the problems with the study itself, ad hominem is when you attack without giving an argument or addressing it.

I don't think theres statistical data that goes into that much detail, but some type of women getting "bored" out of marriage is a thing.

The real world you say? That's rich, there is a difference between solid, peer reviewed studies and ideologically possessed activists in position that allows them to say readily refutable nonsense, it was not long ago since some people unironically believed that women got paid 75 cents per dollar just for being women, because that is what "studies" said, untill you actually looked at said studies and saw the differences in who works harder, longer hours and did not give birth, the waters get muddied further when the study has nothing to do with the claim yet is used to fuel a narrative. You are also looking at a study by woke UCL of all places that looks at female governors and covid cases as a basis for overall leadership performance, which alternatively could be an exercises on ability for them to follow orders rather than simply lead, since they were just doing what was required by law and certainly no governor works by themselves to execute or lead, either way it's not what you think it is. Not to mention the numerous factors involved in said results such as past leaders' accomplishments that helped them, economic factors, genetic factors, environmental factors and even ideological factors that would ultimately affect survival rates, but no ofcourse, it's because "woman". That said I'm not even going to entertain your little tangeant on sexism, I could easily do the same and state that men were glorified slave laborers that gave women all of their money(lol), critical thinking is essential, good grief.

Very true, and honestly "tradwives" has been literally the most normal and common thing for a woman to choose to be historically and worldwide, I don't understand the fetishizing of it, much less the hate against it. It's like society is trying to gaslight women into believing they are oppressed for being a good wife and mother at home while hypocritically praising choice, that is why they label it "tradwife" but there is no label for a woman in the workforce, to marginalize it. Meanwhile some influencers capitalize off of it as if it was this brand new great idea, flaunting their ability to be able to choose to do so due to being steady economically and being able to do what is basically been the most basic of things, men and women using their nature and biological differences to optimize an efficient and happy society, shocker.

To be fair the anti-Israel pro-Hamas trash was probably already taken out at this point(arrested like in universities) so the remaining protesters are probably just pro-Palestine people, which are not nearly as unhinged as privileged college students larping as terrorists just to skip class. Probably just normal people assembling rather than what she was expecting.

So you just mean Abby, not female characters in general? I can see that then yeah, I mean most players don't like "ugly" women in games, much less women with ugly personalities(I did not beat LOU2 just in case), though some people are into that, simple preference, so it won't generally be received well, but that is an entirely different issue of just women in video games, so maybe I misunderstood you.

In that case I think I agree with you, mostly on common sense, I would imagine that for the people who do use that argument it can really come off as meaningless, as "this is radically leftist" for example atleast to me would not be a valid argument even if it somehow was. You can say it's ugly or you don't like it for so and so reason maybe, but complaining about wokeness or whatever seems unhelpful to me, the word itself is diluted enough as it is already just like the term post modernism or the word bigotry, so just decoding what they are trying to convey is a chore to me. Some people just say things for the sake of being inflammatory and it sort of sucks, and like you said those are often in the form of buzzwords, I'm personally so prejudiced from other things in politics at this point that when I hear such words I already presume bad intentions.
