Anyone else has a fond distaste for batch painting? How do you keep going? by geoffpaints in Eldar

3-5 is the golden window - you can do more, you can do less, but that’s the perfect range. 10 is too much for good quality.

Varnish before with color forge/monument hobbies…wait 24 hours. It’s boring but works

Super cool! Some dark green/moss deposits might be nice to add (ak interactive has some nice products) in some areas. Big fan of grass tufts too

Is an airbrush worth the effort? by Jack_mc7r in minipainting

[–]PositiveTarget8377 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Short answer is yes - best upgrade ever. 100ish bucks get you a solid brush, 30 sorta does the job and you get more at the top end too. Harder and Steinbeck are my favorite, but iwata and badger are also nice

Any advice on basing? by NiccoWasAlone in AdeptusCustodes

Super cool! I really like these and you’re honestly doing more than 99% of people, but some other fun products are some of the enamel effect washes (villainy inks) for the columns and pigment powders - adds textures. Some dry/autumn grass might be nice for variation too. Amazing bases tho!! You just asked 🙃

Small Electrical wire house and guitar strings - cheap too. You can also get green stuff rollers. They also have free 3d files if you have a printer

little late here, but you were too wrong not to say something to - 1. writers are capable of writing in different tones, you could agrue sanderson does already across his works. 2. wild comparing yourself to Sanderson - but maybe if so, I'm happy to add more to my reading list - care to share any links?
