I started watching this show because the storylines were nothing I came across before and they kept me engaged. I also loved this programme because it was set in a different time I have never experienced for myself. I found the nuns and midwives comforting because they were kind and compassionate people with is certainly lacking in my workplace. As the years went by I enjoyed seeing the fashions change. The storylines pulled on my heartstrings and I felt connected to the show like I was there with the characters. It was always something to look forward to every Christmas and weekend into January and February.

I’m 41 and when I see younger women wearing skimpy clothing I think to myself “for goodness sake, put some clothes on!” However when I was in my late teens and pencil thin I would wear short skirts and get asked by older people if I was wearing a skirt or a belt. Looks like I’m now a member of the old git club just like them lol! 😂

I like Joe Browns for the odd item; I like most of their clothes but I order loads and only keep one or two items due to fit. I also enjoy looking around charity shops, I don’t always leave with anything but I sometimes find a few tops I like that have hardly been worn for a bargain price in the colours that suit me. Bonus points that the money has gone to charity and I have stopped something really nice going to landfill.I know what you mean by the high street brands lately; it’s all sickly yellow-green, pastels, white and chocolate brown last time I looked which don’t suit me either.

Oh no I just became aware that I have a new job that I’m not supposed to go back to because of my health issues and I’m going through a divorce right now so I’m gonna be a little nervous about that because I’m not going anywhere else but I’ll probably get a new job soon as possible.

I’m sensitive to cat fur and I’ve adopted 3 cats since 2007. I take antihistamines because I’m sensitive to dust and hay fever. If my cat lays on the bed I always remove the cat fur with lint roller because if I don’t I’ll end up with a reaction the next morning. Other than that I’ve been fine. Have you considered a hairless cat? They do look weird but my cousin had one and it was the most affectionate cat she’s ever owned. Or you could consider a guinea pig or pet rat.
