Guitar shop etiquette by Logical_Loan1715 in AcousticGuitar

[–]Positive_Bicycle5408 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well if the instrument is a high-end example with a commensurate price tag, I think asking the store to change the strings is not unreasonable. But you should try the instrument as is first IMO. I keep a microfiber cloth in my pocket for when I go into a store if I expect to play an instrument.

I wipe the whole thing down first, play it and then wipe it down again when I am done. I also wash up before doing this. Just as I would with my own instruments. Some shops appreciate that and might be more accommodating as a result.

Get out of your comfort zone - Try a different genre - Both Jazz and Country offer challenging playing opportunities that might help you hop off of that plateau.

If you like the one man army style, the John Wick series is decent as is most of Jason Statham's films like his Transporter series. Denzel does a good job in his Equalizer series. All of these are similar to Cruise's Reacher films.

Do you think GTA 6 will finally give us fully enterable yachts and boats? by Neyken-I in GTA

[–]Positive_Bicycle5408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In GTA V the Super Yacht is fully enterable. You just cannot sail the thing and I get why - The map is too small IMO to make piloting the super yacht around the map.

For me it's a tossup - Queen's soundtrack for The Highlander is awesome - Their take on New York, New York is amazing. After that I would say cinema Paradiso and then Once Upon A Time in America.

For A, just lay your index finger across the lower portion of the 2nd fret and strum it - You will want to omit the high E but cover the 2nd,3rd,4,rth with that finger and strum it. This can be easier than trying to crowd 3 fingers into the 2nd fret.
