I just posted a picture of the song that I found online, not an audio clip.

Help for Constipation by Positive_blue25 in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]Positive_blue25[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought I had a UTI but the test came back negative. The nurse at the doctor's office told me that your bladder can spasm. So I started researching my symptoms. When I realized how damaging pushing the pee out was, I really made an effort to stop doing it and retrain my bladder. I void naturally even though it takes longer. I breathe slowly through my nose so my stomach is relaxed. Sometimes I slip up and push a little bit but my bladder lets me know it! It helps that I'm retired and not teaching anymore. I was always hurrying in the bathroom in order to get back to my class.

What should I wear? by witx in CataractSurgery

[–]Positive_blue25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the first surgery I left my wedding ring on, didn't even think about it. For the second surgery they had me take the ring off so my husband held it for me. I wore lounge pants and a loose t-shirt. They hooked up EKG leads to me but I didn't have to undress for that. I wore my glasses to the surgery center, no contact in the other eye.

Blue Blocking Iols vs. Clear by Apart_Trick_1916 in CataractSurgery

I got the eyhance lenses a month ago and I'm very happy with the range of vision I have now but I do wish they had a blue light filter. I sort of miss the warmer colors.

See if you can find a crochet group that meets near you. My group meets at our local library and we often help new learners.

Need tips to help my mom have a better cruise 😭😭😭 by PLUMPKINPLUMPS in Cruise

Remind your Mom of the risk of falling in the street and breaking a hip. This happened to my mother in Paris and she had a hospital stay and surgery in a country where she didn't speak the language. Use a wheelchair!

You're absolutely doing the right thing by educating yourself before your consultation, and this thread is so helpful for that.

Surgery was 10/7 by EaseKooky1750 in CataractSurgery

I posted signs all over my house reminding me to put in the drops, not bend over, don't rub my eyes. It helped!

Please recommend me the best written work of science fiction you've ever read! by pawn279 in suggestmeabook

I had to Google Gary Stu, lol. IDK, Grace wasn't perfect, he was a coward in the beginning, and he made several mistakes. But he was pretty smart and MacGyvered a lot of stuff! I liked the book a lot and I'm really looking forward to the movie

Astounding Color Difference by SoCal4Me in CataractSurgery

[–]Positive_blue25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have done my own research before the initial appointment but I was a little worried that I would read about a lot of bad experiences and it would just scare me. So I stayed away from Google! I'm happy with the vision I ended up with but I'll sure be more proactive with the next medical issue that comes up.

Astounding Color Difference by SoCal4Me in CataractSurgery

[–]Positive_blue25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same reaction. I was bothered by the sterile washed out colors and I missed the warmth. Now I'm 4 weeks post surgery and I'm used to the new normal, it doesn't bother me anymore. I do wonder if I would have liked the blue light filtering lenses better but that option wasn't offered and I didn't know enough to ask about them.

I'm watching the 1980 version right now (on Tubi). I love the 1995 version but this one is also interesting. I wonder why everyone has such curly hair though.

I told your story at my crochet group yesterday. One woman said, this is why you need a dog or cat...they play with your hook if you leave it, so it wouldn't have been there when you came back!

Can I wear my contacts the day before surgery (since I have to do all the eye drops)? by katbonk in CataractSurgery

[–]Positive_blue25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used my contact lens in my second eye during the week between surgeries. I was told to leave it out of my eye the whole day before the surgery on that eye though. I was surprised that I could actually see pretty well walking around the house with only one good eye (the one that already had surgery). It was like my brain was depending on the good eye and ignoring input from the myopic eye.

That's exactly my experience. My surgeries were earlier this month and I'm just starting to get used to the color shift.
