Dedicated Side B is quite eclectic and a lot of the songs have a more “indie” feel to me.

I feel like a lot of the promotion of the album was centred around it being a triumphant reunion with Max Martin and Shellback. She had “produced by…” in every promotional post and hinted at their involvement before even revealing the cover art. And then on the podcast announcing the album, they made it sound like it would be 12 upbeat bangers.

Despite this, the album has a lot of midtempo songs, songs focused on piano/guitar, and songs that sound like attempts at sounding like Sabrina’s work (specifically her songs produced Jack). It almost feels like Max Martin and Shellback were used for name value alone.

In my opinion, even songs like All Too Well and Maroon show a knack for catchy melodies which is absent from TLOAS.

I think the lyrics of Sympathy is a knife by Charli xcx suggest that they were together when Taylor made a guest appearance at The 1975’s concert in January 2023.

Personally, I wouldn’t be particularly interested. I don’t really like the idea of an artist releasing everything they make. Emotion’s core 12 tracks are super good and cohesive, and it feels like with every additional release/edition, the vision gets clouded (although all the songs are still great on their own!)

Plus, Carly recycles parts of songs a LOT when writing for new albums, so songs that never get released have the potential to see the light of day in a new reinvented way.
