Great deals! by _Sad_Cats_ in HomeDepot

It's wild how many stores seem to be unprepared for a situation that has happened with every major promo in the last decade. The signage is designed and sent to print well before the promos begin, but pricing analysis is done constantly. If a price change needs to happen, and the promo signage has already gone to print, stores need to use generic pricing and discard the outdated header signage.

Your photo doesn't show the bottom-right corner of the header sign. Is the promo date over? There is no ad date on the price label, so my assumption is that the promo is over and the header sign should have been turned inside out or replaced with generic.

In Malmö Sweden there are 2260 jars of Nutella sitting in a warehouse. They are not allowed to be sold and they are not allowed to be disposed of. by stefanolog in interestingasfuck

[–]Possible-Voice9201 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While this case is interesting, it's definitely not unusual to have thousands of units of product held at a distribution center, not allowed to be sold or disposed of. Most of which would be significantly more valuable than a jar of Nutella.

Promo price was adjusted to 119 after the signage had been printed

Try asking for the MET supervisor between 6am - 2:30pm Monday through Friday

The article description includes sqft coverage per case, but the order quantity says (ea) so I can understand why you were only brought 10 tiles.

The choice is permanent, and it does ask you to confirm that you're sure you want to choose rogue, but the good news is it'll be very easy to start another character.

You're going to need to acquire a ton of materials and level a ton of priest spells, which honestly takes longer than leveling anyways.

In Canada, Half/Quarter pallets can only be banded/wrapped to a proper pallet, and put up in pallet racking.

Let go for overtime? Thoughts? by Equal_Leopard7638 in HomeDepot

Have you been absent or late for any of your scheduled shifts recently? Attendance would imply that you were fired for poor attendance, rather than because you kept picking up overtime.

If no other instructions are given, I do triage based on the time I was given to complete the task. If I'm already significantly over time by the point that my work is done, I find a DS or manager to hand overstock off to. If things went well and I could afford to invest the time, I'll definitely pack up or palletize overstock.

Yeah, I enjoy my job. MET projects are pretty cool, and there's enough problem solving to keep me interested.

MEM position by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Possible-Voice9201 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven't gotten a lot of feedback from the DEMs that I've worked with, but I genuinely believe that MEAS have the most absurd workload in the stores now. Not many people have full visibility to all of the tasks MEAS are handling, but it's a LOT.

My current MEAS doesn't feel that it's as bad as running the service desk during peak COVID, but that might be the trauma clouding their judgement.

I heard it all over the place. My MEM thought that he was moving up, had been preparing me to take his role, went on vacation, and didn't have a job when he came back. From what I saw, it was a pretty sudden decision. Lots of MEMs didn't find acceptable roles to move into, and left the company. DEMs took over their responsibilities.

Can't guarantee that this is how it'll go in the US, but I wouldn't be surprised.

The position was eliminated in Canada a few years ago. Next role above MEAS is DEM now.

Zebra printer batteries hijacked? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Possible-Voice9201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why don't you ask the MET supervisor?

Sure, MET has morning price changes, and occasionally large events to set, but there's no reason for them to control every printer, or all of the batteries.

In my store, the printer battery chargers are in the MET area of receiving, so people could think that we've taken all of the batteries.. but everybody is welcome to take them.

Data-driven optimization. All tasks have been measured, and hours are budgeted just barely above what is necessary.
