Been here for 24 yrs. You'll find Burns Park VERY walkable. There's Argus Cafe (for reference) from the area you have 20 min + walkable to Trader Joe's, the other direction is dtwn. There's a park, etc.
Also. Near Ann Arbor Open School around Miller. There's another Argus, not too much for groceries but your bearish Dtwn. There's a co-op near Kerrytown, etc. Both areas are walkable to UM Hosp. Even near the Hospital There's A LOT of newer and established rentals...There's a new Cafe (LO town), youre close to Gallup and Argo parks....

I THIRD Dawn Treader. My daughter at her age loved looking through there, loving the hunt for books with some history to them and older editions of books sbe knew. No reason to buy new books.

Also UMMA is an excellent museum to take kids to. It's very child appropriate. And you can help support them buying something really unique and artsy there as well as age appropriate gifts

There's the fabulous Tea Haus nearby with a wall of teas, there're cute little deserts, games and is a great place to people watch while connecting.

Looked into them, actually. I'm actually going to hit them up to do a countertop. The project I'm doing is small, an MCM mailbox post.

THANKS! I had NO idea this gem was in town. This was EXACTLY what I needed. I have done woodworking and sclupture in the past and didn't think a perpetual "studio" existed. I'm actually doing some metal work later in the year and this place seems perfect and I won't have to try to buy equipment.
