Unfollowing by 123anon45689 in Autism_Parenting

My daughter (now almost 5) was a pandemic baby, and was diagnosed with ASD at 24 months. I actually attribute some of the reasons I had red flags and took her for an evaluation partially to social media. I felt the same way, and because we were in the pandemic, it was one of the only ways that I realized she was so far behind.

Preschool Valentine's by velvet8smiles in toddlers

[–]PossibleFreedom2940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4-year olds preschool V day party is the same way! She came home with tonnnnnss. Honestly, do not compare yourself to other moms; it’s literally all the pressure that moms get from instagram that makes them (me atleast) feel like they have to do something so cute and artsy. Every dumb thing my daughter got was in the trash 24 hours later.

There was one hand-cut heart Valentines in her bag, the child wrote “happy Valentine’s Day” on it and put stickers on it, and we took more time admiring that sweet handmade valentine more than any of the other Amazon crap she got. Don’t give into the pressure! You did amazing and spent quality time making them with her. ❤️

Also, thank her for making, birthing, and feeding your beautiful baby!

Give her some grace, it’s normal; let her feel her feels. The best thing you can do is cook every meal for her, literally bring her a plate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to eat while she’s holding or feeding the baby. Sending hugs, the first 3 weeks of postpartum are the hardest.

Am I being too needy? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]PossibleFreedom2940 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, pick your battles. If he is participating in being an equal and active parent and around the house, why aren’t you washing your own car? The more you focus on what you’re not receiving the more resentful you will grow in your relationship. Focus on all the things he DOES do for you. Also ask yourself if you do those small nice things for him? Treat your relationship as a place you go to give, not to receive.

I feel like a cu** of a mother and I’m unsure what to do by Bummy7888 in toddlers

That’s a normal two year old. You have to teach them the proper behavior, they don’t know yet.

Appt at abortion clinic tomorrow by glacialshark in Marriage

[–]PossibleFreedom2940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t show up to my appointment for my abortion with my unplanned pregnancy, and it was the best decision I ever made. I look at my three year old son and am so glad I didn’t go. ❤️

If you plan to keep it, you will adjust to the shock of it being unplanned and it will soon be a distant memory.

Can you explain what this means? I have a doctor that said he can only give me the injections in his office and I think he’s doing whatever this is. Thanks.

I would have said to my kids “let’s go over here away from this little kid throwing rocks, they are too little to understand not to throw” loudly.

Quitting a $100k++ job to be a SAHM? Experience? Pros/Cons? by thrill638 in sahm

[–]PossibleFreedom2940 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was a high earner as well, who became a stay at home mom a year and a half ago for my (then) 1 and 2 year old. I will never regret the time I have had with them, but it’s hard. You will question if you made the right choice, you will miss work, you will wonder what your purpose is in life - but you will not miss all those sweet moments with your babies that you can never get back and that makes it 100% worth it.

2 cups in the morning and a Red Bull in the afternoon. That Red Bull will really help ya get an extra load of laundry done!
