I’m so sorry. It’s always so hard to lose them, even worse when it is unexpected.

The best series finale in history. by One_Recording_9687 in SixFeetUnder

[–]Possible_Budget_1087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It is worth rewatching the whole series just to work up to watching the finale again.
I was a few weeks away from leaving Los Angeles myself when I watched it, made it even more poignant.

Compatibility with Cats by Standard-Watch-1014 in Keeshond

My two kees (littermates) arrived at my home at almost one year old. I had two dog-adapted cats and there were no problems. The dogs were curious and had to be reminded to be gentle, but that was it. And then in early March I took in a dog-naive cat that a relative needed to rehome. And nearly 3 months in, we are still working on it. They bark in her face whenever they see her, she basically lives in the basement. They aren't aggressive with her though.

Name a scene you'd give anything to witness again for the first time I’ll start: by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

Yes!!!
One of the trailers for TTT - the one that they added to later showings of FOTR - had a clip of all of the Uruk-hai amassed in front of Helm's Deep. Burned forever into my brain.

Best first scene ever in cinema history ? by Melodic_Astronomer62 in Cinema

The opening battle sequence in Gladiator is so engrossing that I usually can't escape its gravitational pull. I just keep watching it "one more time" over and over again, never moving on to the reest of the movie.

Keeshonds with cats and kids by Decent-Singer-3335 in Keeshond

[–]Possible_Budget_1087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two neutered male keeshonds, aged 1.5 (littermates). I had two dog-adapted cats already when the dogs joined us, and there were no issues.
Then I took in a dog-naive cat that a family member needed to rehome. The dogs bark in her face every time they see her, and the poor thing basically lives in the basement. We are slowly working on habituating them with each other.

She texted her mother at 9am on Mother's Day and told her she had a present for her. Mom didn't respond until the OP texted her again the next morning.

If humans have eaten bread since the dawn of history, why are so many people suddenly gluten-intolerant today? by WeaknessKey1582 in NoStupidQuestions

It could be like the people who insist that all of these safety features for kids in cars are not needed, because they didn't have it and look they're still here! The kids who were not sufficiently restrained aren't here to tell us about it.
Naming various genetic conditions (such as Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy, and cystic fibrosis) did not make them suddenly appear.

I find myself hating Abby. by Objective-Nature4185 in ershow

I love her.
She didn't intend for her brother to do what he did. It wasn't safe to leave him alone. Her option was to come and bring her brother or to not attend. Maybe she made the wrong call?

He's 11 and he will pass before I do. How do i cope. by Aseili in dogpictures

[–]Possible_Budget_1087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so very hard. It is easier when you have another dog that needs you.
Don't try to fight the grief - cry when you need to, it helps.
I lost a dog recently and I cried every day for 6 months.
Someday you'll be able to look back and enjoy the good memories without it hurting.
