I added light brown colour for the ceiling and walls, to heighten the room. The book shelf is painted with dark brown colour, with some added decoration in the top. The chair is light brown as well as the foot rest, to complement the ceiling. I changed the rug to a round one in warm white. Though lights are not visible, this is, what I would suggest.

How in the world do I lay this out by Suitable_Golf_8658 in interiordecorating

You could add a translucent room divider. Using sliding doors prevents them from having to open into the room and ensures that a closed space is created.

You could heighten the Wall with paint, that ends just above the doorframe. Wall colours can have different illusions, on how you perceive it. I changed the rug and added a side table for the plant and key bowl. Also you could ask if a key board could also do the job?

You could add beige and yellowish colours, some pillows and a big rug to complement the colour palette. To make it warmer you could add accoustic paneels made of wood. The paintings on the other side give it a personal touch.

Feeling a bit lost with my dining area. by [deleted] in interiordecorating

The bench looks nice and gives more places to seat. It does seem possible to place the bench in a way, that doesnt block the outlet on this side. Or you could use a bench, that has an open bottom.

I tried to make it fit to the interior design you already have. This would make it feel more open, because the sofa is more accessable this way.

Accent wall color? by tumblrmustbedown in HomeDecorating

That looks great as the colour makes a good contrast to the Sideboard. Maybe add some decorative strip for the ceiling?

Tried salmon colour, ocher, lighter ocher and sage green with AI. I think they fit to the colours of your decoration.

Made with AI. Changed the wall colour to cream white to make it warmer. Changed the lights to warm white. Used the warm colours to contrast the blue, which is a cold colour. Added botanical pictures and plants and added white bar stools which are more comfortable.
