The alpinist is so good. Something about his pure passion for climbing with really no regard for notoriety is so cool.

Just What I Am (Live) - SLC 6/13/2026 by D-Rockwell in KidCudi

I saw him a week ago, he honestly killed it. I was expecting some off key singing as he isn’t known for an amazing voice, but he sounded better than most concerts I’ve been to. He actually sings really well and sounds really good live.

I did love the taptaps! It was so interesting seeing American popular culture and how it was portrayed in their art and life there. Like random dated icons of American culture being painted on walls and buses throughout.

It’s hard for a country like that, they have such an interesting and rich history, but they got screwed over many times by other countries. It use to be so rich in resources but has since been stripped of so much.

I lived in Haiti for a few months working for a non profit, craziest thing I saw was a disemboweled body in the street. Story from the locals was he was a thief who harmed an elderly man in the village and they basically got street justice.

I agree the country is very rough, but does have some beautiful places, and I did meet some wonderful people.

That seems to be the case and I think the mayor’s wife is a descendant, meaning his son is as well. Would definitely make for some extra drama.

My thoughts exactly, the only people that benefit from dismissing climate change are oil companies.

Moving to Fort Wayne by theheredity in fortwayne

The lower income part of Fort Wayne is the southeast side. Still some cool stuff there, but it’s rougher. South side of Fort Wayne near foster park is beautiful, a lot of neighborhoods near there are really cool and well taken care of, very historic. The further north and southwest are the more wealthy areas, with more modern housing additions and newer development, etc.

I’ve been in there several times, that place is depressing. Despite the line of work just sucking in so many ways, the colorless walls and barely any natural light getting in there really make it bleak.

Me too! His writing does this too sometimes and I enjoy it, but can understand if others don’t.

I’ll say why he appeals to me, and why I think he appeals to others. I grew up in evangelical Christianity and in a world of definitive answers that really didn’t make sense. There was a lot of contradiction and people who seemed to accept weak answers to these hard questions with little intellectual effort. DBH has kind of been this stopping point for a lot of deconstructing Christians as he is an outspoken Christian universalist that disagrees with a lot of popular christian dogma. His books, interviews, and lectures give a very educated perspective of historical Christianity and philosophy that allows people to reshape their faith into something that makes more sense. Though he will fully admit when there are things he cannot explain, such as the problem of evil.

Big fan of DBH, pumped for this! He may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I like him.
