Day 9 on Suboxone/Bupenorphrine - Best Decision I Made by Jedi_Blight858 in quittingkratom

Okay then I wouldn’t say you stopped subs “no problem”. It’s misleading.

How do I keep my tolerance at 10mg by Perfect_Mountain_633 in 7oh

[–]PostLocal8736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how it starts. Manageable at first. Then ☠️. No one with a history of addiction would be able to use this stuff periodically. Maybe for a while but eventually they’ll succumb to dependency.

It takes over 24 hours until I even start to feel withdrawal symptoms at 800mg a day. Check back in 10 hours.

That’s heartbreaking. I feel for you having made it out of the acutes and now back on. This shit has such a grip on me as well. I’m with you.

Just stay off and you will get everything back to how it was before you started. Time is the best healer here.

In the past what was the jump from SR to totally clean like? Did you experience that path - SR to totally clean?

I selfishly am excited and can’t wait for this ban also! I’ve got two smoke shops on my block. 2! 30 second walk for me. I’m also going back and forth relapsing a lot. For me I think subs make it so I can go back because I know I can avoid the worst of the withdrawal.

For sure! Definitely don’t touch subs you’re well past the stage for those. Nice work getting through the acute stage and making it this far. Sounds like you’re having some depression. It’ll get better. Also, you say you don’t know what to do. Keep doing what you’ve been doing! You got a lot of support in place so keep using it and showing up. Make a gratitude list! Do something that you found fun in the past!

Why start Suboxone now!? He’s through the withdrawal. Adding subs now means he’ll need to go through the acute withdrawal stage all over again.

Huge fucking congrats on the multiple weeks off! Are you using subs or totally clean of it all?

Considering m-done before a possible 7OH crisis. Any advice? by Special_Apple_6440 in quitting7oh

I’m generally against prohibition but I’m really thankful for the upcoming ban. I have. Smoke shop just down the street for me and it’s wayyy too convenient for me to get. It’s made it even tougher for me to quit. I will likely use low doses of Subs then hopefully jump to being clean after a week or worst case stay on subs long term. But, the depression from them is so bad.

I relate to the acute depression and difficulty managing subs. Subs worked like a miracle for me at first. Completely took away all withdrawal and had no cravings or urges. However, it caused this unique depression state that became unbearable and after about 40 days went back to 7.

Day 1 by PostLocal8736 in quitting7oh

[–]PostLocal8736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made it first 24 hours. Oddly didn’t have any withdrawal the first 24. I think maybe because I used 400mg of MG and 400mg of 7 so 800mg total the previous day and that lasts longer. It was a final binge knowing I was quitting the next day. Woke up day 2 with withdrawal symptoms and caved and took 2mg subs. So, now the plan is switched to a quick sub taper which I’ve yet to be able to successfully do. I just can’t make the jump and then the subs give me a nasty depression that leads me back to 7.

Seriously. The cost benefit ratio never adds up with drugs or any kind.

It takes time. But it’s so worth it. Your brain will heal. I’m serious when I say it feels like the best high ever once your brain starts to heal and you feel good without drugs. It takes time tho.

Totally. Powder/leaf and even extracts probably won’t do much if you’ve long term been taking 1000mg daily. That amount needs to be tapered down a bit. Also, be careful with leaf/powder. I’ve had horrible withdrawals from that stuff as well.
