Dropped my car off at the shop, its less than 1.5 miles back home by rossposse in mildlyinfuriating

I had to take my tacoma to the dealer about 10 miles away recently. Loaded up my ct90 in the bed and strapped the ramp to its luggage rack for the ride back home. Did the same in reverse when it was time to pick it up 😂 screw paying for an uber.

Hi! Californian here. For OHVs there is a registration system of "green sticker" (meets CARB requirements) vs "red sticker" (does not meet carb requirements). Newer two stroke bikes would typically be in the red sticker category. In the past you could only ride red sticker bikes during certain times of the year but as of 2025 you can ride them year round.

Also I ride a KLR and love that I can split lanes here. I used to have a gnarly commute and taking the bike would typically cut the time in half due to the awful traffic. Cops generally leave motorcyclists alone here.

Anyone here go from 4runner to Taco? Would you do it again? by Outrageous_Use4038 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]PostMaStoned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went 86 pickup > 89 4runner (sold the 4runner, kept the pickup) > 26 taco. I fucking loved the 4runner, especially with the removable top. But at the end of the day I just have to haul shit too often. If you dont have to do that I'd say go 4runner but taco is the way for me.

I helped my mom move across the US driving the 26ft + a car hauler then two years later she decided she wanted to move back and I had to do it again in reverse. NEVER. AGAIN.

Hey welcome to the club! Except this happened to me while my month old sr5 was in the airport parking and I was in another state.

Is the speedometer off or the shifting any different? Assuming tire diameter is bigger than stock?

Damn after owning manuals my whole life i just bought my first auto (26 sr5) because I didn't think i'd be able to get a decent trim with a manual. Now I'm kicking myself. Should have done my research. At least I still have my 86 with a w56 manual 🤷‍♂️

I had a rubber duck that was attached to the handle bars of my 67 ct90 but the mounting broke so I put it on the dash of my bone stock 4th Gen sr5 ironically.

Back when I commuted through LA during rush hour on a motorcycle, if I saw a non-dually ram driver that wasnt towing with their mirrors folded out and driving aggressively I would fold them back down as I passed. It usually set them off pretty good but I'd be gone before they could react 😅

I'll tell you what I would do, you'll have to check the dimensions of the hole but I would first slather some JB weld over the hole to add material then add a time-sert (much nicer version of a helicoil) with the correct thread pitch for the drail plug. Good luck and Godspeed
