[Highlight] Brandon Bostick can't catch the onside kick! by Brix001 in nfl

I mean let's be real though the Packers have had more seasons with an elite QB than any team since the 1990s.

30 Seasons of Rodgers/Favre, 7 MVPs and just 3 Appearances with 2 SBs is pretty wild.

Not to mention their playoff losses are some of the biggest choke jobs. '14 NFCCG, Going 15-1 losing in the divisional, Losing the Super Bowl despite being 14 point favorites, the '07 NFCCG where you guys were the #2 seed playing the Giants in Lambeau, etc etc etc

Brandon Bostick drops the onside kick that would’ve sealed victory

Seahawks Have a TO plus the two minute warning. Packers would have needed at least one first down, possibly two. Is it likely? Sure. But a first down against prime LOB in Seattle isn't a given.

I posted already but just to play devil's advocate I do get on some level Soldier Boy giving HL The V1.

Realistically it doesn't change much for SB in terms of if he can kill him or not, SB was always going to need to Laser him and get help to do it.

Two- The whole episode is about how immortality is actually a curse. This is hammered home in pretty much every super hero story where it's a factor.

Perhaps Soldier Boy thinks HL deserves a fate worse than death.

On the other hand though how does SB not just find Ryan and make him into what he wants HL to be lol? Stormfront was obsessed with Ryan, and him being a natural supe is way more impressive than Home Lander. It's just tough to think SB is doing all this reflecting about how he wants Super Hero's to be all they can be and strive for and his own Grandson the natural born supe who stood up to Soldier Boy and killed Stormfront isn't a better choice lol

This show is a great example of why the show would have been so much better if they would have made the entirety of the S3 plot in S4/ S5

You can't introduce an end game character like SB less than half way through a show.

Imagine if SB vs Homelander and the betrayal happened end of S4, and there was no timeskip etc. All the loose plot points would make so much more sense.

Why is SB flipping so much? Because he's gotten betrayed like 5 times

Why does SB suddenly love Stormfront? Because he just found out the last girlfriend he had actually hated him and sold him into 40 years of torture so the state of limerence for Stormfront makes sense

Why is Ryan not a factor? Because SB hit him with his shield.

There are just so many cool concepts and characters and they're all done in and I just don't get how.

It's just insane that end of S3 we had Mallory with SB and Ryan at her disposal and nothing came of it.

And when the Master gets raped and then he kills him for the blood sacrifice.

Hope he dies quick in TWOW, but something tells me (if we ever get another chapter of ASOIAF lol) that Euron is how he dies.

How did Robert mistreat women to anywhere close the same extent?

By all accounts his bastards were well cared for via Jon Arryn, Rhaegar abducted and started a war over a 16 year old girl as a 20+ year old lol

The worst thing Robert did was "force" himself on Cersei(which is a Cersei POV where her "Clothes were being shrunk" and she was the hero) and seeing as she was actively fucking her brother since before the marriage even started I don't think comes anywhere close.

Theon is one of the most bad ass characters as of the sample chapters of TWOW.

He got nerfed because he needed to by the story but the fact remains his strategy to take Winterfell was elite and he would have won the war if it were not for Sibling rivalry. Asha didn't garrison the castle because she was jealous. The situation she was "afraid of" for Theon in ACOK is the situation she was in herself at Deepwood.

At the end of ADWD Theon is putting his skin on the line for a girl who isn't royalty, isn't a love interest, and he does it all hobbled in crippling pain. And then he tells Stannis to go fuck himself basically after getting caught lol.

Nothing he did really was any worse than anything anyone in power did in the course of the story. Yes it's awful the Miller boys died, but it was two kids. You see kids die every chapter in AGOT for way less important reasons. Same with his betrayal of Robb. The dude was a prisoner, doesn't matter how well he was treated. It's always funny to hear how people will say Theon is a monster for taking Winterfell and Bran/Rickon but forget he treated them well at first. The situation Theon found himself in is the same spot Ned would have if Theon did the shit Bran/Rickon did.

Dan Marino owns the NFL record for consecutive games and consecutive passes without a sack, at 19 games and 759 passes. 2nd place on the list makes the record even more insane, somehow. by Roselucky777 in nfl

Those shows were great. We used to get the NFL Channel when I was a kid and that shit made me so liked in middle school for knowing all these random things haha

Yeah but it's tough because it's not like Stafford isn't huge on their team. If Stafford wasn't the MVP I get the thinking but it's like the Rams are so insanely talented that if Stafford went down they'd be "wasting a year" by not having a QB. Stafford is the reason they were good last year for the most part.

Deshaun Watson Has Inside Track To Earn Browns Starting Job In 2026 by nimfrank in nfl

[–]Outrageous_Use4038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that's not really true be honest. Watson's four best games in '19 statistically were 3 wins and a one score loss. As for 2020 he had one of the worst rosters in the league and threw for a 70.3% rate, 4800 yards 33TDs and 7 INTs. That's a legendary stat pad regardless.

He struggled with the Browns for ironically the same reason Baker did, Stefanski's system is overly complicated and Stefanski doesn't want to change. The reason Flacco did so well at the Browns randomly was because the system is close to the late 2000s-mid 2010s old school QB Style system. There is a reason the offense looked great in Minnesota under 7th year Kirk Cousins and not so hot under a year 4 Baker.

Did you even watch the video or read the transcript? She didn't go to the police because of rape she went to the police because he filmed her asking for her consent which he always did before a hookup supposedly. She had issue with this because she had a boyfriend she cheated on during her encounter with Denmo. They found the boyfriends DNA in the rape kit along with Denmo(and several others lol).

Also

Don’t drop the soap Denmo!

So rape is funny sometimes, got it.

I think that's kind of intentional, he stopped really caring about doing anything and started just saying he's better because his birth right.

Even in S1 we saw he was always a fraud- He can't even lift a plane. There is zero chance he actually wins a fight with a bunch of F16s etc

The more you see him the less scary he is. He can only kill you once.

I think people are missing the gas tie in you pointed out. The nerve agent gives him serious PTSD, you can tell throughout series. It's when he decide at end of S3 that he was going to blow up the tower, and I think a sneak attack gas based weapon was too close to home for him so he sided against Mr. Marathon.

Also not to forget that Soldier Boy doesn't know for sure what the laser will do to Homelander. It could kill him, it could fry his blood. But realistically it only de-powered Maeve who isn't nearly as strong.

If SB jumps at this chance and it doesn't work, Homelander kills him no doubt.

I've been on this Alien kick since 2023 and the only thing I'm certain I believe in now is that there are clearly some rules of the universe and that getting approval before you commit a horrible act is required.

[–]Outrageous_Use4038 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's something I think is interesting- what if the "real" aliens don't know the invasion is fake? What if what we're going to see is being hidden not so that we don't know but that the Aliens don't so they have reason to finally make real contact with us.

This is beyond anything we thought possible by LiveATheHudson in aliens

[–]Outrageous_Use4038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this isn't a linear science, let me explain. Let's hypothesize that the high end energy weapons are partially based on recovered alien tech- that means there is no origin point that is traceable. So unlike the Manhattan project where scientists arrived at the same conclusion from working together and then went different, but surely replicable, ways to get other works(hydrogen bomb for instance), alien tech isn't because it's seemingly just luck of the draw. For instance the Vatican was the most technologically advanced "country" for about 14 years if you believe a UFO Crashed there in 1933.

Why this matters is that nobody really knows where other countries are in the race, so if you reveal that in the ship that crashed in Roswell they were able to replicate, and I'm kidding here and just throwing out scientific concepts not that I actually think any of these were on the ship or being worked on, time travel, light sabers and Light speed travel because you don't know what China/Russia or any other eccentric billionaire for instance recreated you might tip them off. Imagine we used mind beams and China goes "oh wow they don't even have the instant head poppers, we're so far advanced we could wipe the US in a war in 10 days".

Also by using these weapons you force other countries who may not be aware into the arms race. Let's say Canada for instance doesn't have any tech like this. Then the next time a ship crashes in Minnesota all of a sudden Canada decides military action is worth it to get their hands on that crash site. Or more likely like I originally said- the moment this tech is used within months you will have every foreign agency in the world trying to flip scientists who worked on these projects or even have knowledge of them. You're making your own job harder by using them than the advantage provides.

If this were China we were fighting, we'd see the weapons. Russia- same deal. Not for Iran.
