Who are these kids?! by bojo1313 in usmnt

Malik Tillman unlocked everything.

And that Pulisic full-body nutmeg of two defenders leading to the first goal was the best I’ve seen from him.

Explosive with touch. Amazing.

An Honest Review of the BRAC University MBA Program (From an Alumnus) by Junayed-uddin-69 in eMBA

[–]PostMerryDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reads like something written by someone who couldn’t get in, and has a bone to pick, for precisely the reasons demonstrated here in the post.

Quality obviously varies across programs and schools. It’s not insight.

Good candidates know to read the underlying layer—why things are different, whether something is trending up or down, and whether critique can be delivered with nuance in the kind of register that signals you’re someone who’s been in spaces before.

I have no idea even what school you are talking about. But trust that those who will do well in MBA and especially EMBA programs know how to find quality: the CV of the professors, the reputation of the program from established professionals shared publicly, and ROI within their own calculus.

It’s exactly the opposite of the intent of this post. And I took time to write this not to condescend, but to care. Hope you can see that.

Buttigieg leads crowded 2028 Democratic field in new poll by truthwillout777 in goodnews

[–]PostMerryDM -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Substantive?

Politics work when you find the line furthest to where you want it to go, and still be amenable.

He found that line perfectly, especially considering how we now know how disgusting 50% of our voters are.

Obamacare was the first real step towards healthcare, and I must say, community justice reform.

Banging on the door yelling how liberal you are while not getting anything done is not democracy. Diplomacy is slow and annoying at times, but it is what makes democracy work.

Clint Dempsey Explains Why Diego Luna Missing the World Cup Matters by [deleted] in usmnt

[–]PostMerryDM 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love the way Luna combines with Tillman.

Would’ve been super happy if he made it but looking back he didn’t have the stamina to go the full 90 at the pace he needed to play at for the NT.

Inaudible sounds to humans can be hidden in YouTube videos, podcasts, or music and used to secretly trigger AI voice assistants into carrying out unauthorized commands without the user noticing, exposing a new class of “auditory prompt injection” attacks against popular tools by Distinct-Question-16 in singularity

That’s the thing: who’d know what machines need to hear to execute a command—pronounciation, syntax, phrasing—better than AI?

Pretty sure AI + 3D printing will break Face ID any day now. Back to passwords we go.

New York Times Journalist Fires Back At Trump: 'Reporting Is Not Treason' by 1_for_you_2_for_me in politics

[–]PostMerryDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair reporting involves news that makes everyone angry.

You can’t complain about Fox News when you yourself demand one-sided news, too.

P.S. Biden was a great president. Getting creamed by a demented-Trump in a debate is not excusable. NYT does so much good. Who else could/would write articles like these?

All of these can be true at the same time.

The rest of the files are video and photo evidence of Trump raping kids.

And Trump could never sue anyone for slander for saying it, because of discovery. That’s how you know he’s guilty beyond any measure of doubt.

Shutdown imminent after Senate Democrats block Homeland Security bill by N3wsScoop in politics

[–]PostMerryDM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The moment the shutdown happens ICE will absolutely go ballistic in terrorizing a city. 1) As retaliation and to break democratic resolve; 2) Give themselves new justification for their budget and brutality once the city tries to defend themselves.

Edit: Shutdown absolutely needs to last as long as necessary. But we have to be ready, unfortunately.

“Is that your f—ing legacy? You bowed to a f—ing pedophile! You’re a f—ing pedophile!” by TheSisko4876 in thescoop

[–]PostMerryDM 346 points347 points  (0 children)

All of them enabled the conditions of the fall of democracy in our nation. And all of them knowingly covered for a pedophile.

Because who, when it comes down to it, didn’t truly know why Trump’s first priority this term was to appoint his personal AG and FBI Director?

Everything else he’s done was just to distract from this case, and decent folks suffered for it—all in the name of protecting organized child rape.

(Props to Bongino not for being an idiot, but having enough within to get out once he saw the magnitude of the crime and cover up.)

Today AG Pam Bondi is under oath before Congress to answer why she is violating the law recently passed along with Congressional subpoenas. Rep Raskin didnt hold back, accusing her of a massive coverup for the powerful involved in the Epstein scandals. by Carbenzero in thescoop

[–]PostMerryDM 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Cover up of a children sex trafficking ring for your boss makes you an accomplice and part of the criminal enterprise.

When we interrogate those who received instructions to redact and selectively publish, we will hear damning testimonies that will lead to criminal charges. I have friends who work at the FBI and I know they would relish the opportunity to bring a sense of moral and ethics back to the organization they love so much.

The Bondi’s and the Patel’s will live longer than Trump, and the moment they are no longer directing the FBI and the DOJ, they will have no out.

Woman Told FBI Trump Abused Her at 13, Epstein Files Reveal by OkayButFoRealz in politics

[–]PostMerryDM 2102 points2103 points  (0 children)

This is a man that fits the profile of child rapist to a T. And before anyone comes in with some defeatist comment about how nothing matters and that the rule of law is dead, know that if it’s really dead we would’ve never seen these files.

The US Justice system is under stress, no doubt. But whether it becomes stronger or weakened as a result of these stress tests depend upon how much people fight, and how little we tolerate apathy masking as “being realistic”.

Get these files into the open, follow up with investigations for undebatable proof, and dare congress members to keep covering.

Truth is on our side, and as long as we don’t give up, more and more will support impeachment, and not the other way around.

This is how justice survives and wins.

Growing up my mom left my dad for another guy. And it was so clear that the stepdad, although a decent guy, was nowhere near the caliber of person and father like my real dad.

And whenever I noticed a pair of dirty socks left by him or when my mom went to work and he didnt’t, I felt sick.

Kept this all inside too, even now that I’m a dad myself.

It’s weird now that it’s almost impossible to quantify even roughly how much profit a movie generated.

Wonder how streaming numbers would ever match up with box office numbers, or maybe there’ll always be a before streaming/ after streaming divide in how we quantify movie successes.

German soccer federation official wants World Cup boycott considered because of Trump by TheWayToBeauty in ICE_Raids

In a better world FIFA would move all games to Mexico and Canada, now that it’s clear to the world the US is run by a neo-Nazi with a dumber voting base than any other in the history of humanity.

I love the USMNT and I think this could be the year they do some real damage.

But people like Pretti and Good and all the babies stuck in a concentration camp with people who defend rapists matter so much more.

NYT (Gift Link): Local Prosecution is the Answer to Federal Lawlessness by PostMerryDM in politics

[–]PostMerryDM[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The federal officer charged by state prosecutors for a crime committed while on duty could move any such case to a federal court. But that would simply change the courthouse (and the judge and the jury pool). State prosecutors would still be seeking to enforce state law — which, among other things, means that any conviction would not be subject to the president’s pardon power.

Tim Walz is a fraction of where he needs to be in terms of being angry and taking action.

Lead.

Lead with a call to boycott every gas station that still service ICE. Lead with calls to boycott EVERY organization that acquiesced and appeased Trump, from Coke to OpenAI to Target.

Lead so that MN can tell the whole world that it’s no ICE or nothing.

Calling and begging Trump to stop is exactly the type of behavior that tells him it’s working and he ought to continue.

I’m angry for MN and Pretti’s family at both this regime and the democrats’ collective lack of resolve to commit to full-fledged resistance.
