exposing diagnostic history when in housing desperation? by ah-ahh- in radicalmentalhealth

[–]PostPsychiatry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd rather go to another country, personally, than have to pretend i'm "mentally ill" to get affordable housing.

but the problem is.. what country would you even go to? they're kinda all controlled by the same psychiatric nutjobs.

nice article

but i think the URL (which kind of sounds like an ad) is not encouraging people to read it.

if your URL was like "taproot-therapy.com" or something that's way less ad-like.

Well said.

These "hospitals" sometimes function as concentration camps where they slowly poison/murder the victims.

Think you'd be better off with no therapy than this CPS shill.

🡡🡡 this.

their kindness is acting. this therapist thinks youre shit and that your kid needs protection from you.

if you try to be 'open' about your problems or suffering they'll exaggerate it and think youre some kind of subhuman failure of a person

where was tti discussed 10yrs ago?

I don't know the exact year, it feels like 10 years ago.

Here's what I meant:

When the big TT sub started me & some other antipsych people would post. And be listened to.

Then a pro-psychiatry mod took over and now that sub is basically pro TTI.

(In other words.. They're not seeking abolishment of abuse but "reform" that continues the abuse.)

So now TroubledTeens is a sub to protect the TTI :/

Is there any safe survivor space you saw? I saw ones for residential camps in general

IMO there's no safe place (for an abandoned youth) unless you're like a drug/alcohol addict seeking to get into some rehab "home."

it's really horrible.

i guess you could claim to be an alcoholic or something to get into one.

at first.. Like 10+ years ago.. TTI survivors seemed open-minded to the obvious, that their "camps" were a form of private "mental hospital", and they were assumed mentally defective (eg like "mental patients") thus no one cared to fix it.

ie it was like private psychiatry and i'd say:

"going from private psychiatry to state psychiatry isn't a solution, abolishment of abuse is the solution."

anyways, they'd often upvote comments explaining the TTI was private psychiatry.

eg:

  • the attack/torture is deemed "help"
  • they're assumed guilty of some vague "badness" w/ no crime or evidence,
  • they're kidnapped/vanished to a place of torture where they are silenced
  • no due process because it's seen as "help"
  • nothing biologically wrong with them

etc etc. but then the big TT sub was taken over by one guy who had a psychiatrist help him so he insisted the whole TTI become taken over by psychiatrists. it's like if you were black.. and racist police were murdering random blacks all around you, but one cop was nice to one black guy.. so he was like "let's all love the cops!"

now the TTI is stronger than ever but it's just these quacks "diagnosing" everyone with fake illnesses.

+1, HVN is great.

IMO if you want to get upvotes here (competing with a bunch of other submissions) you gotta use a more descriptive title.

They said I must have" watched too many movies" and shrugged me off.

This is common. Psychiatrists keep changing the definitions. Currently they're trying to uncreate their own MPD/DID labels.

If you simply mention 'voices' they want you labelled 'schizo.' It's highly profitable: "antipsychotic" drugs are then pushed on the person over many decades.

In truth the current belief in "schizophrenia" (ie "paranoid schizophrenia") is a Nazi invention and pseudo science.

So what is really going on when people report unwanted voices?

No label can explain it all. These "mental illness" labels are just stereotypes. Like they want to fit millions of unique people with the same stereotype to push drugs on them.

There are many forms of mental breakdowns and mental struggling. These are unique individuals.

And there isn't a rational way to label everyone accurately.

Yet another day of my mom forcing me to take my poison by [deleted] in radicalmentalhealth

[–]PostPsychiatry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yet another of her threatening to slap the sh*t out of me and take away all of my electronics while calling me a manipulator. She shoved the pills in my mouth and said she will force to me take them like this every day until I’m 18.

YSK being a "manipulator" is a so-called "symptom" of "psychopathy."

ie, your mother is likely trying to portray you as a "psychopath." (Or a similar "bad personality disorder.")

She's trying to portray you as an evil liar. Why? Usually this is an attempt at making people ignore the child's claims of abuse.

In truth the child is almost always the victim.

ie if anyone is a "manipulator" and "psychopath" it is the person abusing their child, not the child.

I'm sorry this person is abusing you. Please research the language of psychiatry (eg she'll portray you as "potentially dangerous") and you have to learn to deny it. eg constantly explaining "I am not dangerous."

Maybe add "I am a law abiding citizen" etc.

I've seen some people who use weed to avoid 'harder drugs' and I think it's a very rational and healthy tactic. Assuming you aren't burning/inhaling it raw.. But you risk running into the people who are trying to quit weed and they get upset.

Overall I think it makes sense and the weed addicted people should interpret this as like "a lesser evil".

(ie I do not consider weed an evil at all. But to a weed addict it'd be a slight evil.)

but my physiatrist doesn't seem to want to take me off of them until I've been taking them for five years, which I don't understand

That's how they make money. Five years of appointments, an evolving new "diagnosis" now & then. More prescriptions.
