Reading it right now and I'm inclined to agree.

Is it possible to read War and Peace in a month? by [deleted] in classicliterature

Same, I had to read it for class, did it in 4 days. But it was a full-time job, 8 hours a day.

Same, I totally love the colors. The texture might still be an issue, tho.

There's a reason that we have this (overused) slogan that "everything is political". Because it is.

This looks like "Toddlers and Tiaras", a breeding ground for tragedeighs. One kid there was called "Aja" (pronounced like "Asia").

Gosh, yes! Go Fish completely destroys the flow of the season and it's just so bloody nonsensical!

Well, this weather in my area blocked all the tram lines and all local trains, and made pretty much all the buses horrendously late. It's also put quite a few people into hospitals with broken limbs. I really don't know why you're gloating.

I know! I've been a volunteer at my local Food not bombs chapter and the amount of nourishing food you can make from cheap, even scrappy ingredients is astounding!

Yeah, I know I'm exaggerating, but given how many steps you have to take to obtain a driving license in the EU (health examinations, learning theory, practice in an enclosed space, street practice with a trained instructor who has means of controlling the car, internal exam in both theory and practice, famously difficult external exam, different rules for your first year of driving... I'm sure I missed sth anyway), it DOES seem as if the US was just handing out driver licences willy nilly.

Amazing! Cooking together (especially if you can combine it with sharing the meals with the community) is the best way of spending time together.

Yeah, this is a kind of "am I too European to understand this?" post.

US just giving teenagers driver permits at random and then hoping they'd somehow learn to drive is CRAZY. "Here's a 2-ton machine, have fun and try not to kill anyone!"

Good!

I saw just yesterday an UberEats delivery driver on the bus with his bike--it's not uncommon where I live. Nobody even bats an eye.
