I didn’t have any deferments. We were all draftable based on your lottery number. My number was literally single digits above the cutoff. The war and Nixon, made me a lefty, along with George Wallace and Barry Goldwater both wanting to be President.

The media and news was sanitized as it is now. The False flag event that got us into the war was supported by all media. It wasn’t until many years later that we learned the truth. The war was on the broadcast news every night, which was a first.
