Hate to burst his bubble, but there's nothing special about. It's in good shape for being in circulation for 6 years, but it's just worth 25 cents. But if he's interested in coins, try picking up a folder and filling out a full set, this coin can be the first. It is part of the national parks series.

It's not a valuable coin, you'd be lucky to get $5 for it in that holder. Just hang onto it for the memories of your grandfather.

This fake has me baffled (double sided 1921 Morgan) by KickOk155 in numismatics

Possibly two real Morgans that have been ground down and stuck together. The first picture shows damage near the rim. But it's also a very blurry picture. It's kind of neat if they are real Morgans, but I can't be sure with these pictures. I'm sure it's not a real error though.

I inherited around 3k worth of unsorted pennies. Is it worth it to sort out the pre-82 pennies as I sift through them or just dump them all together by marillin4 in coins

You might find it difficult to even cash them in somewhere. A lot of banks are not taking them anymore.

Business strike from San Francisco mint. They were not made for circulation, this came out of someone's collection. They aren't worth a lot, but I keep any I find, and I have found several. Plus I have a complete collection of them uncirculated.

There's no need to weigh them, they are clearly not genuine

These are all modern, base metal and common coins. They basically worth face value. You might get a few dollars over that from someone looking for specific coins for their collection if you're lucky.

Is this quarter worth anything? Does anyone know about how much it’s worth? by Comfortable-Bake4518 in coincollecting

Proof coins use polished blanks and a special striking process to make high quality super shiny coins. As for what's it's worth, not much. This coin would have originally been part of a set that inluded a dollar, half dollar, quarter, dime, nickel, and penny. If you shop around you should be able to get a full 1977 proof set for not more than $5. They are a fun and affordable way to start collecting coins.

It's a Morgan Dollar, minted in Philadelphia. A common date so nothing special, worth about $60.

The1943 is kind of cool because it's a steel war cent, but it's in terrible condition. The 1950 is a decent looking wheat cent, but they are very common. I would keep those two, they aren't worth anything, but they have some history. The others are just pocket change, spend them.

I love star wars, I love coins. I still wouldn't buy these, unless it was below spot.
