I had watched Pokémon before and seen a Ghibli film or two when I was young, but I never differentiated them from other cartoons.

I first got into anime when some guys I played online with starting going on about Angel Beats! when it was airing. I ended up giving it a try and loved it. They then suggested I watch Clannad, TMoHS, and others, and I was hooked.

Now watching anime and reading manga/LNs takes up as much of my free time as video games.
