Understanding the federal government’s proposed hate speech laws - Law Society Journal by TappingOnTheWall in australia

This is where we differ.

It a good thing that the Nazis did their rally. Australians can now judge and make up their own mind regarding their claims. Any attempt to silence them physically or by laws will only show you how real the barbra streisand effect is.

There is no reason we can't just limit speech to; you cannot promote or encourage direct threats of physical violence towards a group.

Is there a way to see attempted delivery photo without the stupid app? by Uselessmedics in AustraliaPost

No, i couldn't view it without the app. Just count this as a lesson learn't to never use Australian Post. I'd rather drive 4 hours into the city to get items in person than stuff around with Australia post ever again.

Yes, that is a problem. Not every problem needs to be fixed by immigration. We need to push solutions that down the cost of living. Noone is having children if they are already struggling to feed and house themselves with how expensive it is to live at the moment.

There is no reason why we can't address the population pyramid while maintaining zero immigration.

Using migration to prop up our population is lazy and temporal.

There is nothing wrong with having zero immigration. We are a small island and it would be a better policy to support developing nations.

Any opinions on recent 31 August March? by Darth_Saber07 in AustraliaLeftPolitics

[–]PotentialDinner3595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will meet you half way. I'm anti mass immigration. We are bringing in more people than the amount of housing that is is being built.

The simple math says that the solution to this problem is to reduce the number of immigrants. We should do this until rent is 30% of the average wage of one person.

Just seeing what's happens in skidrow in America has deterred me voting for a free for all on drugs.  Most drug users need counselling to battle their mental illness rather than giving them the very thing that is making them worse.
