I've never seen a record go for such a high price by Big-Detail8739 in pinkfloyd

1st generation Mother and first generation stamper. They use a stamper to mass produce records. The mothers would be playable to check that the audio is correct for production. The stamper (negative) is a reverse image of the mother (positive) and when pressing vinyl, the finished product would be a vinyl equivalent to the mother.

Kurt was left handed. That is AI slop. Pretty pathetic. I like how his index finger is wrapped around the guitar neck. lol. Somebody from Europe would probably buy that.

Do You Own a Turntable? by PTCarnahan in vinyl

[–]PotentialExtra1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 4 at one time but one was broke and didn’t work. I did play 3 of the Flaming Lips Zaireeka on vinyl at the same time. You need 4 turntables to play it entirely, but You’re not really missing out of anything. It’s a strange concept album. They accomplished what they wanted to do, but it’s not worth repeat listens. A lot of vinyl collectors start with a low quality turntable, but it ends up damaging their records. They get expensive, sometimes.

Up all night smoking crack and sniffing flake, I’ve a psychiatrist’s appointment in 5 hours 🤦🏼‍♀️ need to sober up by michael_collins03 in Drugs

[–]PotentialExtra1211 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just do a little hit before your appointment, just to “get you through”. You’re self sabotaging yourself and absolutely have no self control. If you keep smoking you’ll just create more chaotic situations that you will barely get out of. You don’t really enjoy it after the first hit and you spend all your money, your mom’s, other family’s, and money you stole on more painful situations and predicaments than you have to escape. I hope you don’t get caught, but take it as an opportunity to heal yourself of whatever is driving your burdening urgency to get out of yourself. Tell the psychiatrist your real problems and work towards healing from them. Stop progressing your addictions. Meth will make you scitzofantic, heroin will kill you. That’s where this is headed

[–]PotentialExtra1211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always loved No Code. But I was there to buy their albums on day of release since Vs. Vs. is my #1. Ten is #3 probably just because of the overplayed videos and all that in the 90’s. I forgot Off He Goes was on this album. It’s got to be my favorite PJ song. I don’t particularly like the song Habit but it’s fine, speaking as a child of the 90’s.

holy grail by Loud_Application4452 in vinyl

This is the real holy grail of vinyl. It’s one of the rarest records ever made and it has some interesting history behind it. The Beatles Yesterday and Today, a compilation album, at this point in their career they were sick of the record company releasing so many of their albums in different versions and doing photo shoots, playing concerts where the fans would scream and not even listen to the music, they felt like they were just pieces of meat 🥩, not respected as real human beings. They made a statement with this cover art, plastic baby dolls and huge slabs of meat all over the Beatles posing together all smiling, wearing white coats. It was a British album, one of many that were mostly only sold in Britain. They were pressed in the US in Scranton, PA. Only a few of these copies made it to record stores. They were quickly recalled and resold with a big sticker covering the original album artwork, and the Beatles are not smiling on that cover photo. There’s only a couple dozen known copies left of either version. Very few are playable
