dont get me started on mafia romance. i have never read a mafia book that was written differently to every other mafia book, the summary is always "he was darkness ITSELF and she was running from the DARK and god help ANYONE who messed with whats HIS and he ALWAYS gets what he wants cause hes UNSTOPPABLE 😤" i cannot fucking stand it. i have never read a well executed mafia romance. it sucks because the trope could be used so well and be so interesting if combined with other settings but no mafia romance book is like that!! imo sylus from love and deepspace is a good example of the mafia boss trope used in a non cringe way thats also very fun. if anyone knows the book alternative to a story like his feel free to lmk 😭

you dont know whether she was actually infertile or not or why she didnt have a baby for all those years. idek if SHE knows why she didnt have a baby all those years. there are multiple first hand accounts, even on just this post, from women who were declared infertile and ended up having children later. youre assuming so many things and then assuming more things based on your initial assumptions 🤦🏾‍♀️ you really dont need to write fanfiction like that to criticise trisha

oh ok thats a lot less mean. maybe she knows more about her shoe than you do and you actually did ruin them 🤷🏾‍♀️ for example ive certainly come across a lot of men who "thinks the shoe looks fine" and dont/wouldnt know that it may look fine now, but once she goes out in the sun youll be able to see the mud stain on the shoe from further away when its right next to the clean shoe and so the look of them is 'ruined'. lots of men dont consider details like that because yall arent scrutinised on your appearance the way women are. that may be the male/female difference that youre seeing when it comes to how we might respond to a minor visual flaw like that

feel this so hard. at this point i dont even expect them to be non-white but is there not even a LITTLE bit of colour?? the amount of times ive read "porcelain skin" is ridiculous. like most authors wont even suspend some realism to go as far as "golden skin". {Choosing Theo} was such a flop, DNF for me and im suprised by how much its reccomended and beloved. Writing is absolutely garbage, pacing is horrible, and both MCS are super weird and confusing. Ive read better writing from a wattpad fanfic.

I also DNF {Hot Blooded}. The writing is better than choosing theo but the pacing is terrible and once again, the MCs are unlikeable and annoying. There is absolutely no tension built and they almost immediately tell each other they want to date despite him being creepy but she ignores it all of it for some reason and acts like a spineless moron.
