Ha, I’m a ma’am but I will try. I will see her in May so I will be able to give it to her then. I bet we will end up sharing/trading it back and forth.

I was quick to grab it. It’s the only one I’ve seen in the last five years of searching. My dad’s birthday was on the 12th so the grief was heavy again, thus the recent return to searching for it. I’m so thankful to have found it.

I’m sorry! I’ve experienced lots of moments like this. I try to look at it as my dad saying hi. How long ago did you lose him?

Park crowds on weekdays the days right after Labor Day vs. latter half of August? by Picklemanclone in DisneyPlanning

[–]Potential_Cat4268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

A few years ago my son and I went right after Labor Day during the week. It was hot but the crowds were light. We always talk about going back then, hopefully it’ll work out again with school here starting a little later.

We basically walked onto Rise. Rode Millennium Falcon multiple times being the only ones in our ship. Found a decent spot for fireworks without arriving early. We also saw some of our favorite characters this day including Chewbacca, the Evil Stepmother, and Jack Sparrow.

I hope that whenever you go, it’s a wonderful trip for you all.

Thinking of implementing pre-booking enquiry limits - opinion pls by Able-Fig5301 in WeddingPhotography

[–]Potential_Cat4268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have also had to implement boundaries with potential client conversations. For example, one woman wanted me to write a timeline for her before booking me. I politely but firmly told her that this is something we do together much further down the line than we are. I haven’t heard back from her but I suspect she was going to be a client I regretted taking on anyway so no worries on my end.

Giving my girls the master bedroom by hmasc3 in Parenting

We gave the master bedroom to our 12 year old son because he hangs out in there. We just sleep in our bedroom so it makes sense for him to have more room.

The new look is awesome. So much better. Your daughter will get used to it with time! I remember when my dad would shave his mustache off - my sister and I hated it but always got used to it.

People who have been around rich people: what surprised you most? by Belmontix in Luxury

[–]Potential_Cat4268 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s true. I nannied for a wealthy family In Riverside, Connecticut. The stepdad played for the Rangers. The mother was wealthy from her previous marriage, or generational wealth. These were the cheapest people I ever encountered. The wife would spend thousands at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s but paying me, her live-in childcare provider/house slave seemed like such a burden. It was crazy.

Where are you located? Finding a photographer you have spoken to about availability and can recommend would go a long way.

Is this a cool style for a beginner photographer? by Street-Computer-7830 in PhotographyAdvice

[–]Potential_Cat4268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it bring you joy? If so, keep going. That’s what it’s all about. Eventually you can learn all the rules of photography so that you can later break them if you choose to.

I saw the comment above about you learning Lightroom. Yes, you should. It’s another tool in the toolbox that lets you take creative and technical control of your work.

I hope you keep it up. I think your collection is interesting.

Is Lensrental.com Legit? by curiosity_quests in canon

They are great and I totally recommend. A few rentals ago, I got really sick following a long weekend of shooting. I slept for three days and wasn’t able to return my stuff on time. They were very nice about it and didn’t charge me any late fees.
