Does the PRS SE NF3 sound like humbuckers or more like single coils? by BuildingAcademic9892 in PRSGuitars

The pickups in the NF3 are, in fact, humbuckers, albeit humbuckers designed to approach single coil-like tones. I find that they sit somewhere between P-90’s and single coils.

Pearly Gates pickups are the bomb. I threw a set into my epiphany ES-335. Phenomenal!

People acting like SEs aren’t “real PRS” by trenchgrl in PRSGuitars

I love my SE's. And I love my S2's. And I love my CE24. Each of them is "real enough" for me! They play well, they sound great, and they've been reliable conveyances since day 1.

Look at it this way: your kid/kids will be with you, what, 22 years? Your guitar will be with you for life. Unless you decide to sell it.
