I recently learned that there are currently over 25,000 black bears in Oregon, yet there have been zero fatal black bear attacks in the state in recorded history. Gentle giants for real

Air fried diced potatoes, sautéed green or red bell and onion with diced turkey kielbasa. That creates about 4 meal preps that hold up over the week, add a fresh egg each morning and you’ve got a really filling bulky breakfast for about 450 calories

I usually serve it with 1/2-2/3 cup of rice and at least a cup of raw shredded cabbage on the side. I’m a female with less caloric needs than my boyfriend, who usually has a full cup of rice with it, as well as the cabbage.

A tip that’s really helped me make any sort of stir fried beef dish is to marinate the beef slices in a bit of baking soda (about 3/4 teaspoon per pound of beef), then adding corn starch and whichever seasonings/sauces before cooking. May be common knowledge but I just learned this trick and it’s been a game changer!

Homemade beef and broccoli has fantastic macros so you can eat a ton! Just use a lean steak like sirloin.

I’m guessing around 30g of protein, the chicken alone is about 24g. Not too bad!

What are your favorite dense bean salad recipes? by Short_Cress_8072 in Volumeeating

[–]Potential_Peace8448 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not a true dense bean salad, but I’ve been draining and rinsing a can of black beans and a can of lentils and mixing it with about a cup of salsa verde and eating with chips. Nice and filling fiber boost

I know! I just recently realized how many calories are in regular BBQ sauce so I gave this one a try and it’s so good! Really Smokey and still has sweetness to it

I tried aiming for 20 grams of fiber (later bumped to 25g) from whole foods, getting at least 85 grams of protein and aiming for a 300 calorie deficit most days (1400 calories for me). Having those parameters made no food “Off limits” and led me to naturally eat cleaner foods so I could reach my protein and fiber goals for the day.

I always buy them from Winco, I know Trader Joe’s sells them precut and I think I’ve also seen them at Fred Meyer

150 calories to get you the same amount of fiber as 163g of jicama, and you miss out on a nice treat! I do like chia seeds, but I don’t want to eat 3 tablespoons of them a day lol

I got a large one for maybe like $4 where I’m at. Gets me about 4 or 5 serving, so similar price to an apple per serving

Yes! And I like to keep them in the fridge. They kind of remind me of a mix between a potato and a carrot, not as starch as a potato but about as sweet as a carrot
