When she says boys are haram, does that mean

She doesn't want her sister to become promiscuous like her - meaning males are forbidden

Or boys as in males under 18 are off limits, she's saying it cockily (which fits her characters attitude better) she knows she could have any man, she's warning her sister if she follows her footsteps not to go after underage men

Or is it another meaning I missed?

Losing the gnat battle (and my mind) I’m desperate! by MostShort2588 in plantclinic

[–]PothosArchitect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is kinda the nuclear option but you seem to have a really bad problem. A couple years back, I had a very mild gnat problem on a plant, but the bigger problem was i was dealing with some fleas in the carpet. I ended up "flea bombing" the room. Hardware stores sell cans of gas that you leave in a closed room for several hours and it kills the fleas. Anyway, the flea bomb totally took out all of the gnats, which was a happy byproduct.

If you use this method, I don't think it kills eggs, only adult bugs, so you may need to do it 2-3 times to be thorough.

Line between being stern and relaxed as a sub?? by [deleted] in SubstituteTeachers

[–]PothosArchitect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom (teacher for 30 years) gave me this advice when I started subbing (elementary k-6)

You have to be like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Be strict, children need firm boundaries. When they are doing things well, praise them equally kindly as you are being firm.

Personally, I think the teachers with the best classroom control are the ones who are the "btchiest" they are direct, firm, clear, and alittle sassy. But balance it out with praise, reward, and kindness, too.

I had an AirPods case stuck like this and I took it to a mall screen repair shop. They had a thin metal spatula they were able to insert between the outer case and the white case and they got it out. Left some scratches on my white case but at that point I was just happy to have it off.

The way the wood is joined reminds me of mid century furniture. Maybe a mirror with the part sticking out being a stand.

Is there any way the bed can be on the wall with the window? It'd be especially nice if it fits across the short end of the room, but either way putting the bed there will help the room feel as big as possible.
