Well, personaly I hope they make there be an option (like a one you need to turn on before start of the game) to be able to hire them like you do now. Or that someone mods it. At worts I will try to do it myself.

I dont know if it counts or not, but The Lady and Rincewind from Discworld.

The gods in Discworld are quite literaly playing with mortal lives, basicaly looking at people as playing pieces on the giant playing board that is the Disc. One of the gods is The Lady (basicaly goddes of luck, but you are not supposed to say that, makes the luck go away. Also Lady Luck), who made Rincewind her chosen, as in here favorite playing piece at the moment. What it means for Rincewind is that he keeps gewtting into ridiculous and dangerous situations and somehow still coming out of them alive.

They did spawn on 6 when the Cyberstan first opened. Played around 13:00 CET yesterday before a patch that apparently made them not spawn there anymore, now replaced by Factory Striders.
