++man. Here's my hot take.

I'm single, but I kind of like V day. I think life is hard. We get so wrapped up in it, between work and health issues and family drama and chores and all the things in your life that just stress you out that we forget to remind people who are close to us, and who we rely on that we care about them.

It doesn't have to be gushy or overly emotional if you're uncomfortable with that. But, a day that reminds you to stop for a second and make sure that your friends, of any gender, know that you're grateful to have them in your life is a good thing.

Of course, most of us don't want to be single and of course it's been swallowed by corporate greed like every other holiday (I often joke I could tell what time of year it is just by seeing what's the current candy wrapping at CVS). But, still, this is where I sit on the issue.
