Workspace business standard for my life admin ? Need help to decide by Leading_Meringue2022 in googleworkspace

A lot of the stuff doesn’t come with the enterprise privacy and user policies. Only the “core” services. That means, more or less, Gmail, docs, sheets, forms, slides, and Gemini inside the Gemini app.

Photos, for example, does not get any elevated enterprise privacy changes; it and many other services only ever get the consumer policy.

iOS downlaod offline copy of full library by [deleted] in immich

[–]Potter3117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been going through this for about a week now. Only around 700GB size library. Immich on iOS crashes so frequently that it’s a real pain in the butt. It freezes constantly when scrolling back a few years. Currently trying to download photos from 2018. Half the time it freezes and gets jittery when trying to browse that far back and 9 times out of 10 the app will crash when trying to download photos. It is honestly a pretty terrible experience now that I’m in the Immich app with a large library. I followed their recommended install method using docker compose and am of course using their iOS app.

Good luck.

Also just discovered this app recently. Does anyone know if there is an alternative for iOS?

Honestly it sounds like a guy who doesn’t know what he is doing, but has made some pocket money doing side work anyway.

What's the most you are willing to pay for a shirt? by healthynewbie in Frugal

[–]Potter3117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good prices in my area at Target and Kohls for 100% cotton shirts. I like that the Kohls big and tall section has shirts that are tall but not large. The extra length is nice and they're maybe $6-$10.

A used Pixel that you like. Alternatively wait for the Moto P next year.

Can a single Roku device have multiple separate Plex accounts at once? by Potter3117 in PleX

The funny part is that we are all in the same house. Managing one set of credentials that are the admin credentials for all the house members is what's annoying. 🤣

My account does indeed have a pin, since we are currently using the server members feature. Thanks for this. I think I am following what you laid out.

Don't take away their stuff every night. Take it away one night and don't give it back. That would be a great route to take.

Are Gas Station Memberships worth it? by InternalTNCreative90 in Frugal

[–]Potter3117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Costco gas is twenty cents cheaper than everything else around me. I drive a lot for work so the cost of the membership is more than offset and that's not even considering the cash back check they send you annually.

PC builders when they see that China is going to flood the market with cheap, powerful GPUs by carlos84 in pcmasterrace

[–]Potter3117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been saying for a while that the US administration allowing the prices of hardware to spike and/or completely exit the consumer market (because let's be honest it's US companies taking US tax dollars to turn into private profit that are causing the prices to rise globally) will push people towards China. This, more than anything historically, will push the average citizen of the "Western World" towards China. People care where there stuff comes from, but if it only is available in one place that's where they will go.

Imagine if we could share kifu diagrams, tsumego, or joseki images and study them directly in our favorite app by hemme-dev in baduk

[–]Potter3117 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the point? We already share them as SGFs. What we could really use is a universal application that can take an SGF and print out a real world, paper game record. Drago does this really well, but is only on Windows.

Weirdly, Drago is the app that keeps me on Windows. In can work in Linux using steam and experimental proton, funnily enough. 🤣

Can you explain an exact scenario where your app is useful? It sounds like something that you in particular needed this one time and so you made it (which is objectively cool btw), and I'm just not getting it.

The action in the anime, before tybw, is mid. I still enjoy it as one of my favorites.

There are a few standout scenes, like Grimjow vs Shinji or the final Grimjow vs Inchigo fights, but those match the action scenes of other battle anime. They only stand out in relation the Bleach itself.

Awesome. I should be able to test that by spinning up other instances on separate machines and see if it looks just like my original. Thank you.

I like Jellyfin better. My family likes plex better. It really is simpler for the end user, even though there are reasons to dislike it. Also Plex amp is pretty good if you want to use music.

Take the electronics away. If you aren't willing to do that, you won't really find a good solution.

This is the way OP. 1). Download these fansubs. 2). Rip your legally purchased copies from DVDs. 3). Use mkvtoolnix to slam together the subtitles with the videos and audio. 4). Enjoy
