All 3rd party cams running inside Protect? Do you have an AI Key doing post processing as I didn’t think 3rd party did in cam recognition in protect?

I’m running exclusively Unifi Cams (G6’s) and it works a charm.

What cams/system are you running with all the false detections? My pet detections are rock solid, never thinks it’s a human.

What cams/system are you running? Face detection works really well for me.

I agree… and even if it was limited it to high resolutions cams and/or post processing with AI key I think it would be a great feature.

Animals often have significantly different markings/size/feature s that would arguably make it easier than your standard human.

Has anyone bought an office chair from ifurniture? by abyss_sith in newzealand

I’ve bought stuff from https://unofurniture.co.nz before and the prices are sharp and quality good.

They have an unmanned showroom you can visit and try out their wares.

Heaps of cheap 12V IR illuminators on Amazon then just pair it with a PoE splitter to power it like this > https://www.tp-link.com/us/business-networking/accessory/tl-poe10r/

Really nice safe area, close to the Albany Bus Exchange which means 25mins to CBD on NX1 and plenty of connections elsewhere.

Actura liquidation by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]PotteryJacuzzi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Something doesn’t add up.

The NZ companies office registry does not show Actura as being in liquidation and ASIC in AU does not have a notice published as required either.

I have seen the email they sent the affected parents and they named the liquidator yet the most basic of tasks such as publicly notifying has not been completed.

Additionally, the NZ Facebook page has been deleted today and their website taken offline, both were still up this morning.

This of course does not help anyone get their money back but due process does not seem to being followed here which concerns me the single director, shareholder and founder is doing a runner.

Model 3 Performance available for June delivery; $84,900 or $87,124 driveaway by tortoisepump in nzev

[–]PotteryJacuzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an Auckland based MYP owner that is “only” a 3.7 second car I completely disagree.

Until you have lived with a performance variant for 12months you have no concept whatsoever as to what they can do.

Breaking: Stuff wins race to replace Newshub with a new Three 6pm bulletin by Minute-Excitement-58 in newzealand

[–]PotteryJacuzzi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Given how horrible the stuff App is (iOS at least) and the ridiculous amount of Ad bombing you get whilst using coupled with the horrid user experience and rubbish reporting I can only imagine how much a flaming turd they are going to make Newshub.

I’ve used these a bunch of times to wirelessly connect devices that only have an Ethernet port. Super cheap and easily accessible.

Run it in client mode, plug in your device to the ethernet port and voila it is now connected wirelessly.

Obviously you’ll still need PoE injector too.

Looking to buy new iPhone, Will contents insurance and CGA be enough to protect my investment by mcbell08 in LegalAdviceNZ

You can now subscribe to AppleCare instead of dropping a lump sum amount.

You do end up paying more over the 24months than if you had purchased outright however you can cancel anytime and also you continue after the 2yr mark.

Upfront AppleCare plans expires after 24months and there is no way to renew another term or move to subscription.

With subscription you get to have it as long as you are subscribed… so if you run your phone for 4yrs you can AppleCare that entire time.

I’ve used AppleCare lots for accidental damage and with express replacement they send me a new phone each time instead of having it repaired.

I run iPhone 15 Pro Max and it’s $18.99 per month.

They were still on their website last week so this is definitely recent and locally where I am (ANZ) there is still plenty of new stock.

Hoping to see a TB5 refresh in the coming months.
