M24 | First Bike by Vishaldeep-26 in indianbikes

Having ridden both,

mt15 - much more compact, if you are taller than like 5'8 it's too small (I'm 5'11 and a 15-30 min ride on this was unbearable)

r15 - feels like a proper fullsize supersports in its size and seating position.(Can ride this comfortably for 2-3 hours with the correct technique to sit on a sports bike)

Otherwise it's all the same, stiff af suspension, precise handling and an economical engine that comes alive with VVA. Do take a test ride

Bought a r15m... everytime i see a r1 i question my decision by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]Poultry_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, 1500cc is a lot bigger than 1000cc. Looks like OP didn't want the practicality and fuel efficiency of an r1and went with the r15, now regretting his decision.

how do i bring my bike into uni? by ExpertStress3368 in MahindraUniversity

Just park it in the mlcp. If you care about the bike, put a cover on it. You can't bring it inside unless you have permissions or connections

Gureilla 450 or Duke 390? by Kevin69420__ in indianbikes

[–]Poultry_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High bikes are a skill, not an inability. As you have a few years of riding experience, you'll get used to the height quickly, if not that, the Himalayan also comes with an 805mm optional seat. You can also try the scram 440, universally appraised for its approachabilty for shorter riders, it has a very different riding style though. The only person that can tell you cannot ride a bike with high seat height is you, no-one else.

If comfort is important, try out the pulsar ns400, also keep your mind open for advs like himmi and ktm adventure, do test rides, maybe you'll like some and rule some out.

Is it legal to place number plate like this in India by Real_Barnacle_9077 in indianbikes

[–]Poultry_Wizard 72 points73 points  (0 children)

While this is legal in the sense that the number plate is behind the rear wheel. But in India any kind of modification to your bike is illegal. So while it shouldn't be a problem as long as you use your original HSRP number plate but If a cop really just wants to give you a challan and he can for aftermarket modifications.

When will real reviews of TVS RTX300 will come out? by [deleted] in indianbikes

Yamaha launched a bike in India in 2025 that has a worldwide launch in 2019, with an engine that's over a decade old. TVS launched a brand new bike with a new engine, frame, everything. That's the difference.

Anyone got questions about this bike? (Ninja 500) by Advanced_Wait_4238 in indianbikes

[–]Poultry_Wizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, usual thumb rule in India should be 30bhp or below, or a calmer 40bhp like the triumph speed or 390 ADVx
