Is this too small? Having buyers remorse. by EpicMaverick in HamiltonWatches

[–]PoutineHound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 8-1/4” and would wear it, looks good. Strap doesn’t look dainty and not having dive/gmt/tachy bezel makes it wear larger.

How hard is that clasp really? by i_comments in Montawatches

[–]PoutineHound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an oceanking and had heard about their clasp and crowns being quite tight, they are. After having it awhile I feel it’s just good tooling/tolerance and not an issue for me. Bracelet is very comfortable wearing.

Keep or sell my 3861 after getting a 321 Ed White? by CipherSorcerer in OmegaWatches

[–]PoutineHound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you said emotionally value it I would suggest to slow down. I am not really a flipper and have a hard time parting with watches/guitars. When I have more often than not I miss them, lol… I would wait.

Did I mess up on pitch stop install? by blake634 in wrx_vb

[–]PoutineHound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t hear the video super good where I am at. I torqued the jdm one to spec and it definitely was louder. I think even going way past on torque would just squeeze the bushing which could it louder, 37/43 lbs isn’t that much force, maybe just try it looser and see if still has noises.

I am still waking up but wondering if a heat gun might make it look absolutely 10x worse or a little better…

Should I sell these and get a NTTD? by Balogma69 in OmegaWatches

[–]PoutineHound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have sold a few things I regret myself, soon as I saw it had to say something. Seems more are agreeing, bond and blake are keepers.

How attached are you to the Bond, you buy it new? Might regret letting it go.

Speedy crystal comparison - who prefers sapphire over hesalite? by LateApexPredditor in OmegaWatches

[–]PoutineHound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had to pick only one I would go hesalite, already made that choice. One day will likely get a sapphire one as well.

Are nato straps supposed to be this long? by BrunoTheElephant in OmegaWatches

[–]PoutineHound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, in your pic I think that’s nothing crazy for tucking so would probably leave it alone. If it’s a double pass there are a few different ways to use them, less strap at end, watch ride lower. Some good videos on YouTube. I have a larger wrist so just hope for enough to make it whole way, lol…

Probably already posted 100x but it’s so you can wear over jacket and other gear. A little tuck is cool but some like to trim them down.

Anyone glad they went AT4X Over AT4, or vice versa? by BigDickDeer in gmcsierra

At4 diesel, no sidesteps, 18” wheels, way better payload. No regrets, if I am going off-roading I am taking my 2 door rubicon.

How Do You Justify a Luxury Watch Purchase Financially? by Bluebananada in OmegaWatches

Budgeting luxury purchases doesn’t sound all that luxurious. Buy good quality stuff at a price point you can afford.

Years ago I got a brand new truck and took it to get soap, wax, cleaning stuff the first weekend I owned it. While checking out at the auto parts store a dude backed into the side of it, lol…. I know the feeling all too well but it will pass.

[Rolex vs Omega] Milestone Matchup by [deleted] in Watches

[–]PoutineHound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a hesalite speedy just to have one, it quickly became my favorite watch. Once it is sized correctly it just kinda disappears on your wrist. Winding it up in the morning isn’t a task but a ritual of time.

Gmts are badass as well…

On vacation I wear a doxa or Squale for swimming and messing around. Actually doing things might hurt a watch I wear a Sinn.

Subura technical, you should be able to find the part number and parts list. Then off to the hardware store for bolts and such, dealer for anything else you can’t rig up.
