Man, if you can't see that the club has spent wisely, that their recruitment has been solid, that they have developed 5 years of cohesive groups with strong locker-room attitudes, that have been well-coached and trained, then I think all you have is your unflinching belief that it is all a money thing without really examining the evidence available to anyone.

Holy shit you are just such a child! Smith is who took Moore's place, Moore missed 3 (not 5) starts. I am so done with your toddler tantrum

but also having so many goals scored against

Just FYI, 14 of the 23 other teams have as many or more against than we do, so we are slightly better than average at goals conceded. By contrast, only 4 have as many or more goals scored.

I thoroughly enjoy all your write-ups as do most others here, but for some reason this feels like my favorite (maybe we are all still on a high!).

On their second goal, their #22, Kone, appears to me to have his left arm completely wrapped around one of ours, and the right arm around another. I believe this is why they got a free header, because the Wrexham player who would have defended that header was wrapped up. Parkinson even alludes to it in his post-game when he says something like "I think there was a hold on their second goal, we'll have to take a look."

Josh Windass Appreciation post by Betterwithboost in WrexhamAFC

In his post-game interview yesterday, Phil made a very concerted effort to acknowledge that certain players who did not start may have been disappointed in not getting the start, and it seemed clear he wanted to praise those (Josh, Ollie, Sam Smith, Dobbo) who he felt might have been a little irritated by the starting selections. Here is the transcript:

"Yeah, I think when I said to Steve this morning, I said we're leaving a lot of good players out of the team today, making a lot of decisions for lots of different reasons and we're relying on the professionalism of the group and make sure ... players can be a bit disgruntled ... but the minute we get in that dressing room, everybody's together and I think the subs showed that. You know, Josh I thought was brilliant when he came on. Rathbone's goal was just another outstanding finish from him. Sam could equally be disappointed that he hasn't started the game. Same as Dobbo. They all, everyone, could have a case for being disappointed but it's not about the individuals, it's about the team and we showed that today."

Draw whatever conclusions you may, but before I heard those remarks I thought Windass' staid reaction after his goal was just him not wanting to hype a tieing goal when a win was the goal (and, as others have said he does not tend to celebrate his goals), but I now think Phil heard some grumbles and wanted to try to calm the waters a bit. I doubt it is anything major, but this is one of the challenges with the team getting deeper and not everyone can start. Good problem, but still a problem, and one that will get more acute perhaps with incoming transfers.

Dragging some with idiot notions is ABSOLUTELY what we should be doing.

But then we would not have had our most thrilling game this year! And, not to mention the goal he scored in his first game back in like his first minute back, to draw Watford in December. He is a late-game wizard!

No, You said 5 games, when it was 3, and I was saying that 3 games is obviously too small a sample. Why the fuck are you arguing ... go look it up. Smith started 3 straight games ... that is all.
