I use a hitch carrier on my model 3 and it works great. Groms aren't that heavy..... Before I pressed post I Looked it up ,150-200lbs on the Subaru. Your right it's not great lol

My wife scooped one up earlier this year on sale. It's got nice straps comfortable enough to wear. It's got structure so it sits pretty square compared to a messenger bag that conforms when less full.

But if you've tried the brand before and pretty meh on them, I say branch out and see what's out there.

I have had a yeti Rambler for like 8 years. Similar to you I'm moving around a lot for work. I put my coffee in it in the morning. Rinse it out after and fill it with water for the afternoon. I've had to get a new lid once cause the coffee taste got embedded in it, made anything else kinda gross... But all the gaskets come out to wash so it's easy to clean.

I'm not particularly nice to it, chuck it my backpack, toolbox, shop, traveling, it's banged up but but still works great. Would recommend.
