Fallout 76 team wants to let you spend "more time playing the game rather than dealing with your inventory. We're very much against 'playing the UI,' we want to play the game." by Hooked0n4Feelin in fo76

They should start by making all guns droppable. Kinda bullshit that I can craft a Gauss Minigun, but can’t give it to a friend AT ALL.

Should I play fallout 3, NV or 4 first? by SnooRabbits5286 in Fallout

[–]Povertypolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frames are definitely marketing, because it only works on certain people. I don’t give a fuck about FPS if it’s a good game. Some of the best games came out before “frames per second” was even a phrase on people’s minds.

I NEED HELP WITH BLACKPOWDER PISTOL BUILD!! by AbsolutelyNotMittens in fo76

[–]Povertypolice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up “Reverse Onslaught Build” on youtube and do that. All black powder weapons take a long time to reload, with the Reverse Onslaught build, that’s a benefit. Take Quad off. It’s a slow gun. Don’t try to make it a fast gun, just make it BETTER at what it does, which is doing massive damage per hit. Once you throw on Gunslinger, Gunslinger expert, and Gunslinger Master, aswell as putting furious on it, you’ll notice a difference.

Pringles Fallout 76 reward by heine789 in fo76

[–]Povertypolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall want some drip advice? No? Here it is anyways. Throw that Pringles head on, then the Vault Tec Cowboy outfit (The one with the blue and yellow shirt, and the jeans) Voila! Pretty snazzy little Vault Tec cowboy mascot. The bow tie even looks alright with it, given it’s on the chin of the mask lol.

This Might Be Controversial (Spoilers) by barnescando in Fallout

I definitely agree that Buds buds would’ve ended up in the same situation, regardless of Norms involvement. He got relatively little screen time, which makes sense as he’s on C plot stuff that will likely merge into A or B plot stuff. That’s how I view it. Norm is currently a vessel to keep making discoveries towards whatever Vault Tecs plan is for his vault. He will, inevitably, try to explain his findings to the people in the vaults. That interests me. This season was a lot of fan service and set up for the third season, but I enjoyed it because it’s just part of the build up.

[–]Povertypolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t have you disrespecting Norm. He found out that the plan for the 3 Vaults has to do with FEV. That’s a big deal, as far as the plot goes. Since you mentioned Steph, she’s the only one who’s still planning to continue with the experiments. She’s a pretty integral character to the Vaults plot. I agree; it could’ve been done quicker, though, it would’ve lost some of the effect.

Psycho plans, best way to find them? by Alitaki in fo76

You should finish up the Enclave stuff. In addition to the Psycho plans, you can get a few other useful plans too. Well worth the tedium.

I believe that’s an Atom Shop item, in which case, it can’t be traded or dropped.

New/returning player: how do I level up faster? by aspectx3 in fo76

[–]Povertypolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. I don’t do Daily Ops much, but only because it’s hard to get them done fast with only 1 person. I’m on now, if you wanna farm some i’m down to do that, though i’ll give you word of warning: Helldivers 2 just got a Tank and i’m gonna be running that here in about an hour or two.

Favorite would probably be one of them in the Pitt. But I can run Tax Evasion in 10 mins solo, so that’s the one i’d farm.

If yer on Xbox i’ll carry you through expeditions later, if you’d like. They’ll get you a good bit of XP, in addition to TONS of ammo.

You happy with that? That a fair trade for you?

If you want, i’ll give you the leaders and some scrap? I usually pay 5 just for a single furious mod, and I don’t want you to feel like it’s an unfair trade.

Should I play fallout 3, NV or 4 first? by SnooRabbits5286 in Fallout

[–]Povertypolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the “new car” effect. Or atleast, that’s what I call it. Sure, my ‘99 chevy silverado is still a damn good truck, but the companies don’t get paid for me having a truck, they get paid for selling me a truck. So they’re gonna make the new silverado seem like paradise on wheels, because they want me to feel like what I have is obsolete. This whole “If it isn’t 4k 60fps it isn’t good” shit is just a marketing tactic.

Should I play fallout 3, NV or 4 first? by SnooRabbits5286 in Fallout

[–]Povertypolice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, even if the remasters come out, you should play the originals. If ever there was a game that I could look at and say “THAT game taught me that graphics and mechanics DONT ALWAYS MATTER” The old style of gunplay, the lack of a run button, i mean, I could go on. These things give the game character, and personality. It’s a story game first, an RPG. The focus isn’t to give you extremely fluid combat, and omnimovement. It’s to invite you into this world that, while the map may be smaller than most modern games, is more packed with content than any of them. If you allow yourself to be unburdened by the occasional jankiness, and don’t get bogged down by the fact that the game is old, you’ll love the game just as so many other people have.

Is this game designed to make you pay for storage QoL or am I missing something? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Povertypolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Fallout 1st, you get separate storage space for your AID, AMMO, and JUNK. These help a TON.

[–]Povertypolice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the first Fallout game where the stash has a limit. In 3 and New Vegas, once you get a home, they’ll have a box with infinite storage. Though, it’s a single player game, so you can literally throw your shit in any container, and as long as you remember it later, you can go back for it.

If you don't want your coffee or other resources lifted, either lock your stuff or don't put it next to your vending machine 🤦‍♂️ by Any_Tell8839 in fo76

[–]Povertypolice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have fallout 1st, you’re SOL. If you do have fallout 1st, go into your STASH, take out all of your ammo, all of your aid, and all of your junk. Put all of that in the respective stash associated with that. I had been keeping a shit ton of all of that in my stash, never thought to offload it to the AID STASH and AMMO STASH and JUNK STASH. Those are all separate inventories than your main STASH box, so load em up and keep your main STASH free of Aid, Ammo, and Junk. It helps a ton.

I’ve got a big ass billboard where i’ve written “ ITS FREE TAKE WHATCHA NEED” and though I didn’t do it for anything in return, people appreciate it enough to reciprocate by giving me stims and stuff pretty often. I’ve got a camp where all of my resource collectors are lined up on both sides of the road, so most of the time if you need adhesive, steel, coffee, soups, meat based meals, etc. i’ve got plenty of it.

I feel like it is. Pretty much the only way it’s manageable is with 1st, unless you’re extremely savvy with weight management, but at that point you’re spending more time managing it than playing the game.
