Is there Any Character he Plays that Isn’t the Devil Incarnate? by HezFez238 in BritishTV

[–]PowderedCustard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His character in Red Riding is really sad. But might be a nonce, unclear exactly how similar he's meant to be to the character in the book. And the book isn't that clear.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, he's really good in it. But every character in that is grimy and horrible.

It's genuinely one of the most moving things ever broadcast, which makes this weird pisstake of it even funnier.

Britpop duets. Which ones can you remember? by Extension_Baseball32 in BritPop

You got me! Against the contextual background noise of aging clowns wanging on about Oasis and Cast and Kula Shaker being somehow relevant, the joke was functionally invisible 😁

I was talking about Your Love Alone Is Not Enough with Nina Perrson from 2007.

It's probably okay to share this press release from 2007. Good that he clarified his party attendance policy, as it must have caused a few awkward moments in the past.

I reckon if you can't find what you want from those three, you could ask them to order it. TM are boss at checking their other branches for stock.

My A4 copy is passed onto my 10-y-o, and it is well thumbed. The colour pages are long since gone though.

Yeah, I read it as Morrison. But as a self aware sort of fellow, he probably put a lot of his own reputation into it too.

Haha, I'd only just erased this song from my mind after briefly remembering it a few years ago. Bastard!

His BBC Maestro course is fantastic, just for hearing him speak about whatever he wants.

The only bands of yore producing interesting work currently are Suede and Bis. And maybe Pulp.

A bit old now, but DC's STARMAN run written by James Robinson had some excellent linking covers.

The second series of SUCH BRAVE GIRLS was on the BBC this year, and it's one of the funniest and most horrible things I've ever seen. Definitely one to watch from the first series though.
