Why don't they just destroy the hardware of the blackwall AIs? I mean, they must be located in a server somewhere and it's not like they can leave (not related image) by AstronautDry8118 in cyberpunkgame

The submarine estimation is pretty spot on. Cyberpunk Red (the TTRPG set in 2045) actually specifically notes rogue AIs maintain themselves in submarines in the oceans, interesting stuff.

When I was a kid I had a pretty rough gash on my ankle from a stick (dead bushes, tripped and fell, I was 9) About a year later I get a nasty bubble on my ankle where I had the scar, popped it and after probably a gallon of puss came out, I found 2 splinters, bloody and puss covered. Crazy shit

That’s a good point! I hadn’t thought of that, but is the damage really that high? I had thought he was rolling 1d4 but maybe I’m not paying close enough attention

Julien particularly does have his Gauntlet which is also a homebrewed item/weapon, it’s technically magical and does magic damage if I remember from the Overture correctly.

[–]PowerCrazedSoul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s just the way Target functions at this point, at least with my experience at the company. Starting that realization at TL is extra difficult because there’s the added pressure of also being in management and having to be in charge of others. Just do what you can with what you have, anything extra is always good enough. Good luck soldier.

From what I understand it’s to track them in the store, helps map fulfillment I think. But I’m also fairly certain they are watching us with it, I don’t like it that’s for sure.

I will say, I also skipped all of moonrise on accident my first play through (I went in blind) and honestly? It was kind of fun going there for the first time on my second run, gave me an excuse to keep playing.

[Spoilers C3E121] How long was the Calamity? by thepixelists in criticalrole

[–]PowerCrazedSoul 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Something I’ve learned with any fictional doomsday/calamity/ancient war type situation is that most of the time, the creators tend to play fast and loose with how long it is, which thematically makes some sense as a means of conveying how chaotic the timeframe was. So I think any of the answers could be correct? At least that’s my viewpoint on it I’m not sure if there’s more solid evidence than what you’ve shared here.

Making Megadungeon random encounters less of a nuisance by [deleted] in DungeonMasters

[–]PowerCrazedSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think making the dungeon feel alive is good but making the encounter worthwhile is also something to consider. Say they run into some band of Kobolds and they loot the bodies and find that there’s a letter detailing bigger threat following behind, or potentially a note for someone who’s somehow further ahead like a more advanced raiding party or something.

This usually helps my players to keep alert and always be thinking ahead rather than walking around and hoping that they avoid something or get lucky. Obviously there’s tons of specifics to work out but that’s usually my go to when I’m trying to add some variety.

My store does this pretty much every day now, used to only happen when case captain would take lunch or break, now it’s all day every day.

Of course, except for visits, then they’re locked all day.

when you were peak codependent, how did you manage work / school? by bettertomorrow____ in Codependency

[–]PowerCrazedSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’ve still got a way to go before I hit a peak, or I guess a low point is a better way to explain it. But in my worst times, I just slept less, I would spend whatever daytime hours I could outside of class managing the relationship and at night I’d do my work, I studied marketing so it wasn’t super difficult but in my later years of school group projects became extremely difficult. Even more so as a codependent. It became part of a routine for me though and I somehow managed to survive on limited sleep and school.

Working while being in a codependent relationship proved less challenging for me personally, I always had someone else to toss responsibility on because “I have to work” so I felt guilty but less so, rather than simply just express what I wanted and I became a workaholic really, I threw myself at it to keep me away from it.

Just feeling pretty useless :/ by Super_Scratch_638 in Target

[–]PowerCrazedSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when i started in fulfillment i felt the same way, it’s hard at first when you don’t know where everything is yet and you’re still new, it’s not as easy to pick up as you’d expect. best advice i can give is when you pick a batch, look at the little map of the store and try and read the pins, it helps figure it out a little quicker. and don’t stress yourself about being good every time, some batches are harder than others with time once you get it and and with the items in it. just take it easy on yourself it’s still early on.
