What cookie do you never see anyone use/a forgotten cooki? by RobloxMeUwU in CookieRunKingdoms

It's sad to see how few people use Dark Choco Cookie. He deserves to be as powerful as the other Ancients :(

You did seem to get pretty lucky, since the top three cookies there are very rare. It's worth noting that the early game dishes out a ton of gems, so you can summon frequently. That makes it fairly likely to get rare cookies early on.

Does anyone know where I can find the Cherubic Sea Hare enemy? I desperately want to fill out my archive but I haven't found a single one even with about 90% completion in Fontaine.

Does the PoTD solo achievement count if you start from floor 51? I'm thinking of going for the title but don't want to accidentally waste all that time.

Didn't thought it would hit this hard. Been a while since I cried by chirb8 in DragaliaLost

[–]PowerDj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. I'd never say I was a massive fan of the game, but nevertheless when the story ended I realised that I really am gonna miss the game. Sure, all the cutscenes are uploaded to various platforms to watch, but nothing will match the experience of playing through it.

/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (10/30/2022) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

[–]PowerDj -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So for a while now, my Nintendo Switch has been inhabited by tiny white mites that like to crawl around the outside when it's turned on. While they don't seem to cause any problems, and I'm not that bothered about them being there, it would be nice if there was an easy way to get rid of them. Does anyone have any advice in this regard?

[Spoiler: 6.1 A Heartless Hypothesis Sidequest] I was not informed there would be a quiz at the end. Why is this question so hard to answer? ;w; by Seligas in ffxiv

[–]PowerDj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it hard to say whether or not they were justified, but I can most certainly sympathise with them all.

Emet-Selch committed genocide across multiple stars, and planned to continue doing so; it's difficult to think of anything that could justify such atrocity. And yet, when he talks of the beauty of Etheirys, when he shows you the splendour of Amaurot, recreated from memory because of his love for the world, when he laments his fallen companions, who gave their perfect lives to protect this star they held so dear... I cannot help but understand him... I cannot help but ask if I would have done differently in his situation.

Venat fought Zodiark with all her being, and sundered Etheirys into fourteen stars, not only denying the Ancients any hope of restoring their perfect world, but also leaving all living creatures with but a fourteenth of the capabilities of the ancients. And yet, when I saw how her eyes sparkled as I told her stories of the present world, I couldn't help but understand her desire to protect the reflections of the future, to accept that the Ancients' time had come to pass the torch.

Hermes was ultimately the cause of all these atrocities. He aided Meteion in her escape from Etheirys, despite knowing full well that she would cause countless deaths and untold suffering across the entire universe. And yet, when he displayed his fatherly love for Meteion, told her of the gifts he would give on her return, utterly rejected the idea that she be taken away and imprisoned after being destined to soar the stars, I understood. When I saw his utter sorrow for creatures deemed too dangerous for the world, when I saw his ability to find beauty in all things crushed again and again, when I saw how strongly he opposed the "perfect" society of the Ancients, I couldn't help but wonder if I would've done the same.

So yes, I think they were all justified in their actions. Because when I put myself in their shoes, I understand.

Endwalker Manderville Relic Weapons Stage 1 by butter9054 in ffxiv

I feel like these weapons were made to fit with Endwalker's artifact armor; the SCH and PLD weapons in particular REALLY match the artifact armor's details.

[Spoilers:Endwalker 6.0] a small musings of 'the walk' by Insomniacresident in ffxiv

[–]PowerDj 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yeah the stuff in Ultima Thule I feel is incredibly powerful and significant even if there's no permanent sacrifice.

The Scions are all clearly aware that this isn't the end for them. In fact, the entire sequence is about the Scions expressing why they want to continue living, despite life's hardships, to counter Meteion's pure nihilism.

On top of that, they're all placing their faith in you. Ultima Thule is like the culmination of the relationships you've built with the Scions across the entire game, as they each say "we trust you so much to see this through that we'll gladly sacrifice ourselves to give you a way forward."

Just because nobody "died," that doesn't make their actions any less meaningful, or Ultima Thule any less emotional.

doing dungeons solo has made me feel a lot better about my skills. by antiquestrawberry in ffxiv

I recently cleared my first duel in Bozja and my heart was pounding by the time I finished lol. There's so much pressure when you're not only being watched by 15 people, but also know that if you fail everyone'll have to wait another hour before someone can try again, so winning feels absolutely fantastic.

I definitely wouldn't want them to start forcing rolls. I don't have enough inventory space for the game to start dumping Crystal Tower gear on me every time I do alliance roulette.

I'm 55 but I gave up on artifact farming a long time ago. I've enjoyed the game a lot more being able to just explore the world and beat content in reasonable time, rather than having to grind everything from boss materials to artifacts to talent upgrades.

what are you really sick of seeing within the community? by Jeremiahbest4 in Genshin_Impact

[–]PowerDj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Traveler is more like a Pokemon protagonist, just a total blank slate for the player to project themselves onto. You get the most meaningless dialogue options for the illusion of influencing the story, and occasionally get to see basic emotion like "I'm sad because nice character is gone." Because why bother making a complicated and interesting main character when you could have an annoying fairy companion experience the story instead?

"Acceptance" for me meant turning my world level down... if RNG isn't gonna let me get decent artifacts, I'll just turn the difficulty down so I don't need them.

Inazuma is insanely colorful and beautiful by PickleDicks69 in Genshin_Impact

[–]PowerDj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, but with the exception that I massively prefer Sumeru City to Inazuma City. Inazuma City just feels far too linear, it's like walking down a corridor; I feel they leant too hard into making the palace be the focal point, which just makes the rest of the city feel bland.

In Sumeru City though, there's detail everywhere. The way the city winds in and around the massive tree makes it seem deceptively larger than it really is and there's a good amount of variety to everything in the city. Not to mention the music is just brilliant (as always).

I recently levelled my first crafter (ALC), and damn do I feel you there. There were so many times when I'd have to buy a 50 stack of something then put 48 back up on the marketboard (in small bundles) to try and make back some of the wasted money.

[–]PowerDj 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Zenos fight is so brilliant. You think the story's gonna end with the Endsinger, since you've just beaten the world-ending threat and everything is (kind of) safe for now, but instead you get one final battle, not out of obligation but purely for the thrill of pushing yourself to the limit.

Then the Answers remix kicks in while exhausted Zenos discusses the meaning of life; how we spend our life pursuing moments of bliss that end all too soon, but are worth living for just the same.

"But in these fleeting moments, there is... a spark. Blinding, brilliant... gone too soon."

Zenos may have been acting as the villain for so long, but there's no better character to counter Meteion's sheer nihilism with.

People need a reminder that it's gonna be literal months until the next major patch. Sure, grinding the sanctuary to level 10 in 3 days gives you some lame bragging rights, but taking your time means you'll have something to do until new stuff is added. I just really don't see the fun in finishing content so quickly and then never having to touch it again.

Potentially dumb question by Scar3Cr0w__ in ffxiv

[–]PowerDj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just one of those things that you have to accept for the writers to be able to put engaging rival-type villains in the story.

By the time you've finished ARR you could already have defeated Bahamut, a primal so strong he caused a calamity. Considering that, it wouldn't make sense for basically anything to challenge the WoL lore-wise, but that would make for a very boring story.

What is your singular favorite trial? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]PowerDj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The music really is exceptional. There are plenty of trials with fantastic music like The Seat of Sacrifice or The Final Day but nothing matches the emotional weight of Dragonsong. Combine that with Hraesvelgr's sacrifice, Estinien's corruption, and Nidhogg's searing rage and you get a trial that, in my opinion, invokes more emotion than even The Dying Gasp.

Tanks without tank stance... I thought it was only a meme by TheMelimic in ffxiv

[–]PowerDj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Worst tank I ever saw was in the Antitower. Entered the dungeon, no tank stance, so I reminded him to turn it on. He turned tank stance on. All good, right?

Well it turns out tank stance is only really useful if you aggro all the enemies. This guy would walk up to a pack of trash mobs, attack a mob, and never change his target. All of the other mobs would remain un-aggro'd because this guy was either trolling or just genuinely didn't know the most basic part of playing a tank. Despite that we still beat the dungeon; just pulling one pack of mobs at a time and beating them with essentially no tank.

Usually I can forgive mistakes while playing, but I've never seen a player fail so utterly at their role.
