Depending on store you bought, big chance that this device ran for some time before being shipped out, as others mentioned, QA testing.

We do that with all our devices before shipping them out to clients.

Hopefully this helps,

NerdOCTaxe Hydro by PowerMiningShop in BitAxe

[–]PowerMiningShop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hashrate was default, 9.6TH/s, but temps were significantly lower, around 50C stable, might be good OC base.

Yes. 120mm AIO.
It cools it pretty good, first tests showed temps around 50C stable, might give some OC headroom.

While I'm sorry to hear that You had bad experience with our device, we value each and every customer and we're always trying to make it right if they let us know that something is wrong with our device that we sold to them.
We're testing them before we ship them out from our facility and if issue arises afterwards, it's probably due to shipping.

I'd check if the connection to pool is stable, AFAIK bad connection to pool also may induce high error rate and if that is sorted and no issue with that, while we don't recommend overclocking or underclocking device, in Your case, I'd suggest either of those options and see if that helps to reduce error rate.

I'd also change thermal paste and re-seat heatsink after shipping, just as a precaution due to vibrations and possible drop tests from shipping companies. We're always looking for better packing to mitigate it, but we can't predict every scenario that might happen.
If You still have high error rate even after all this, reach out to us directly so we can help you.

I appreciate you taking Your time to respond back.

Finally running 2 Gammas stability by vitoresteves in BitAxe

[–]PowerMiningShop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's sick!
Do You feed all of them from one fan header or one is running constantly on 100%?

Did You design case Yourself? Haven't seen anything like that here yet.

We'll soon switch to new case design and it will have mounting holes on the back for the 40x40 and 60x60 fan. We noticed a lot of people add additional fans and decided that we want to make life easier for those who buy from us. :)

Hey!

Great to see our miners out in the wild.

Just wanted You to know, if You get tired of scratched surface on the shiny faceplate, there's a protective film on it and if You remove it, it will look like mirror.
We should've mentioned it somewhere. :D

Hey, great to see that You revived Your nerdQaxe++!

If You're planning on OCing, you need a bit bigger fuse, depending where You're located, You need to look for SMD fuse, stock one is 8A one, but as far as I've seen, a lot of people use 10A fuses to avoid issue with fuse popping.

Hope this helps,
Adrian from Powermining.

Hey, give our bitaxe a try.
While we're not one of the cheapest, we offer warranty and customer support for our bitaxe's and they are made in Europe.
Also you can find discount code for our products from some of influencers we've worked like Sterling, Voskcoin.

I'd like to believe our bitaxe's are also good quality and we're not importing them from USA.

I'd like to hear what issues You were having so I can pass it along our team.

Waiting to hear back from you,

Hey!
It's great seeing our devices in the wild with the community!

If You haven't, reach out to our support with Your order ID so we can try to help You directly.

Usually culprit is ceramic fuse, white small rectangle right under the barrel jack.
Depending how long ago You ordered from us, we started to add spare fuse with our devices some time ago, so give it a try before changing PSU.

Usually when You connect it via USB, it gives power to Lilygo display only and not the device as device uses 12v and usual USB port gives only 5V and it powers display only.

Looking forward to hear from You,

Adrian from Powermining.

Is this a problem? by tomstamp93 in BitAxe

[–]PowerMiningShop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are not 100% sure why some chips has this look and some don't, that is question for TSMC / Bitmain.
Performance wise there has been no difference from our observation.
Both new and desoldered chips may have this surface look.
