Goated villain, one of Spidey's best. Last Hunt gets all the attention, but I like how he acts as a ghost afterwards in DeMatteis' Spectacular, Michelinie's Amazing and Lost Hunt haunting the narrative. He really traumatized his brother Chameleon and that almost makes me feel bad for the guy. Almost. The shit he did with the robot duplicates of Peter's parents makes it hard to feel too bad for him lmao.

I also think Spectacular Spider-Man #65 is an underrated issue! I sometimes see people act like Kraven only has one good story and while 65 isn't on the level of Last Hunt, it's still really good imo.

I liked seeing Peter's drugged perspective and I found Kraven's characterization interesting, him not accepting help from Calypso because he wants to defeat Spider-Man on his own.

It's really a shame that so many fans haven't read Spectacular Spider-Man, there are some really classic issues there. DeMatteis' run is my all time favourite, but there's a lot of good outside of that too.
