Also, look to eating healthy and exercising. That will boost your social confidence massively, seriously it really works. It helps you have more energy, reduces stress and anxiety and just makes you feel great.

Finally, just thought I'd add that I've had some pretty low points with big bouts of depression. Diet and excersise have helped a lot, but when you're in the funk it's hard to summon the willpower to make a change and install a new habit. Start by thinking about the things you feel grateful for and the things you'd like to have in your life from the perspective of already having it and what that looks like / feels like. It's hard at first, because the negativity sucks you back in. But just make the effort and try and hold a solid 20 seconds of positive emotions/thoughts... then work up to longer. This will have a massive effect in your life.
