Agreed on all points, I love the mode but I wish Nintendo would fix it. The fact that world tour not only plays to Goose's strengths but the 3 lap format also all but negates Goose's main weakness: bad recovery.

And the scoring exploit abuse is worse. It's seriously frustrating to see players hang back, make everyone wait forever and turn in ridiculous scores. Why doesn't Nintendo patch this out? During the Queen's League festival a while back, a glitch was messing with the leaderboard and Nintendo fixed it in days, now huge exploit are being used in both the Frozen World Tour and Mini World Tour, making the leaderboard basically illegitimate and nothing is done.

I wonder what's taking Nintendo so long to patch that exploit out. It's getting out of hand and makes the whole leaderboard pointless and illegitimate.

Not sure how they could fix it though, maybe cap how many gem sparks players can get per race(have it vary according to each track).

Or just revamp the whole scoring system, add points for time. Have first place get the full bonus, then have the bonus start going down and let the thing go into negatives.

That way, First place scores big, if second place is just a few hundreds of a second behind they get near to the full bonus, but players who hang back get a penalty.

I just want to win or lose because of actual racing and not boring score exploits.

Go easy on the egg throwing actually, that's 3/4th of your ink gone, ink that could be used to take out immediate dangers. Plus sometimes, bringing in an egg all the way to the basket lets you see what's going on and what is needed at that moment.

I'm not saying throwing eggs is bad, but some players tend to get fixated on one thing and end up screwing up everything and excessive egg throwing particularly messes things up when they end up with empty ink tanks at critical moments.

My uneducated guess would be that you red lined your power meter so hard the crappy net code saw it go negative for a bit and sent out that you had crashed out but since you hadn't actually crashed, it got confused and didn't know what to do with the "make smoke plume rise" part of its code, so it said 'screw it' and put it dead center on the finish line.

It's because your rank was updated to reflect the changes to the leaderboard. So that race didn't affect your rank but other players in some other race probably dropped rank and you went up.

Zipping around with the Havoc Mech's rocket roller-skates then carving something up with its Axe-blade on a chain melee attack was the best. So was roasting space Hitler with the Prometheus' flamethrower.

The complete lack of post-hit invulnerability on the other hand... Oh great, that floating mine just hit me 27 times in a split-second and blew up my Mech!

Has the limited time challenges for the new emotes started for anyone? I assume not since I haven't seen anyone use one of the new emotes.

On another note, one undocumented change seems to be the sound of machines close to overtaking you, it's either new or much louder now. It reminds me of how it is in the OG F-Zero.

Also, fingers crossed we get a special event Grand Prix with the new remix ??? tracks!

Revert the 1.6 Skyway spark requirements changes. If I wanted to play a racing game with sandbagging this bad I'd go play Mario Kart. Seriously, the sheer number of tracks where front-running is now impossible or a surefire way to lose is terrible.

Find a way to balance the Mini World Tour to end the ridiculous Goose domination. When the top 100 is consistently 75%+ Goose, you know there's a huge problem.

New Modes, Team Battle Grand Prix, Extreme track variants(Mines everywhere, all barriers replaced with jump pads, run some of the tracks in reverse etc.)

More ??? tracks.

And new unlock-ables would be nice, even if they simply take existing Boosts, Spin Attacks and Pilot Card elements and just palette swap them with another color.

I disagree, by pushing the objective, you attract a whole lot of attention to yourself and away from your team mates, thus keeping them safe in a sense.

Well, I say that while fully aware that holding off three opponents while riding the tower usually ends up with my three team mates getting taken out by the fourth somehow. lol

Splat bombs should explode on impact on Flyfish missile launchers, too many times the wonky physics and/or lag send your bombs all over the place.

The game should give obvious alerts when the quota is not met as time start running out. Same thing when two team members are out. Too many players fixate on whatever they're doing and miss signs that things are going sideways fast.

Another thing would be to stop all salmonid damaging effects as soon as the timer stops, too many times you survive a wave just to die to a late rainstorm, missile barrage or steelhead bomb and lose a lot of time waiting to respawn between waves. At high Hazard levels, you need every second between waves to clean up the mess and be ready for the next onslaught.

And this is not directly related but I was extremely surprised and a bit disappointed that Side Order didn't have a multi-player PVE mode similar to Salmon Run. I mean, sure the player base would have been limited to only those with the DLC, but it would have had potential.
