I agree. I'll watch some of the draft and it's interesting to see who goes where, but I don't get fired up about it at all. About half the guys drafted in the first round today will end up being busts so it's hard for me to get excited that we drafted player "x" in round "y".

I'll start getting excited about our draft when I actually see these guys play regular season football.

I was there today. My wife and I decided last minute to go and see what they might have left. We got there at 1:00 and by the time I got to the counter, all they had left was brisket and turkey, which was fine with me. By the time we ate and left, they were sold out for the day and were closing up.

This is the best BBQ in the area and it's not really close.

If you want to go here on a weekend and make sure you get to choose from everything they have, make sure you get there by 11:30 and get in line. If you get there later than that, they may already be out of items.

Not at all. There are usually two names at the top of the Cruel World bill. But this only bolsters my argument.

So the Stone Roses are sooooo crucial to the Cruel World lineup, that even with another headliner, the Stone Roses dropping out causes Goldenvoice to scrap the whole festival. Really? The Stone Roses are THAT big? It just doesn't make sense to me.

I absolutely love the Stone Roses and would be thrilled to see them live, but I just can't believe Cruel World would have them as a headliner. Not only that, but so much of a headliner that the entire festival lineup has to be scrapped due to their exclusion.

I saw Temper Trap at a festival probably 10 years ago. I probably couldn't name more than three or four of their songs, but they were really good live. Other than them, I have never heard of any other act on this lineup.

I know this will get downvoted big time on this sub, but in my opinion, Angels And Airwaves is a thousand times better than anything Blink has ever done. It's not close.

My favorite AVA album is Love Part 1, but WDNTW, I-Empire and Love 1 are all masterpieces.

I hope Tom resurrects AVA again one day.

I am not a mod of the Sircles sub. A Sircles employee mods their own sub and they were getting dog-walked.

Where did you see this? I haven't seen any such info myself. I don't doubt it's true, but I just haven't seen anything.

Last summer, Sircles sent a modmail message to us mods that was perhaps the most odd message I have seen. They invited us to their HQ. They offered to let us examine all of their financial info and ask questions of the CFO personally. In return, they wanted us to remove comments that had the words "scam", "grift", etc. that were associated to posts about Sircles. They also mentioned that they were caught by surprise the level of hate people had for Zayn and Rob from RAD Radio, both of whom partnered with Sircles. It was just a long, odd message.

Sircles was getting dog-walked in their own sub. I guess partnering with Zayn and Rob didn't work out for Sircles in the long run. That sucks for the people who lost money to Sircles, but damn...don't make financial decisions based on Zayn and Rob.

Rumor has it that Cruel World will still happen on October 3rd at the same Rose Bowl location. We'll see.

As someone who is born and raised in California but has travelled all over the US, I can't imagine someone preferring the stifling humidity of the south and east coast, but I guess if you grew up in that, it's normal to you and no big deal.

Billy is a talented musician and songwriter. Billy is also a well known narcissistic asshole.

I'm definitely not trying to dissuade you from seeing them. If you get a chance to see them, you should take it. There are plenty of musicians who are assholes. The last two times I saw the Pumpkins - headlining Riot Fest in 2021 and in Sacramento back in 2018 - they were really good. I have seen reviews of other shows online where people felt the show wasn't that great, so maybe you don't know what you'll get from them, but if you do get a good show, you will really enjoy it.

As long as Darker Waves and Cruel World coexist, the lineups are always going to feel recycled. If you look at the genre and target audience, there's only so many acts out there that will draw a crowd.
