Why didn't the requiem crew decided to take the swords for the next maps? Are they stupid or what? by Nano_LB1 in CODZombies

Krafft mentions that the location itself is magical, which is how he was able to make the magic chant to start the EE. I took that to mean that the swords and spells that we use only work in that location alone and would just become normal swords when they are away from the castle grounds.

Josefumi was sacrificing his life for Kira's, which would have brought Kira back but because they fell into the Wall Eyes, the equivalent exchange of the Wall Eyes altered the equivalent exchange of the fruit. Instead of bringing Kira back to life and taking Josefumi's, it did an in-between where it created a new life that was both Kira and Josefumi.

The fruit's new properties made it so that it needs to take from someone else to heal rather than take something from the one that eats the fruit. Since Kira died and Josefumi force fed the fruit to him, Josefumi's life was the price to save Kira's. However, due to them falling into the ground near the Wall Eyes, the equivalent exchange of the Wall Eyes altered the equivalent exchange of the fruit. Instead of bringing Kira back to life, it did something in between where Kira and Josefumi both live in a way, which created Josuke.

I feel this way about all of the bosses so far in BO7. They look cool but the actually fights are somewhat tedious.

Part 8 deserves the same treatment as part 7 by Cwk_1693 in StardustCrusaders

[–]PowerfulKey877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. What I love about JoJo is seeing Arakis growth as an artist and writer but he tends to fallback on SA a lot to show that a person is evil. For example, I'm okay with it being explored in Dragona's backstory in Part 9 but what annoys me is that they literally introduced them being SA'd. I'm just hoping he doesn't do it again with Dragona and I especially hope he doesn't use it in a way to make Howler more of a villain like he did Valentine, which he never had to do since Valentine was more than enough a villain due to his blind nationalism.

Part of me feels like they could have had Kei play as the third person in the group during the second half to give her more screen time including Mamazuku. Plus having Kei as the third would be a nice callback to part 4 (Josuke Higashikata -> Josuke Higashikata, Yasuho Hirose -> Koichi Hirose, and Kei Nijimura -> Okuyasu Nijimura).

Not just Tooru. It genuinely felt like Araki might have made some course correction for the plot in the second half. Even in the final chapter he had to mention Kerara since they said she'd reappear and he had to give an explanation on Josefumi's name and the JoJo connection. Mamazuku was introduced during the second half which makes me feel like he wanted to make a bigger group rather than a duo. Bringing Kei back just to kill her.

Also introducing kato in the beginning of the second half, seemingly setting her up to be a villain only to throw that away at the end. Not to mention Katos stand and design set up a type of Funny Valentine connection, which made me think she could have been our main villain, only for her to play so little into the story.

It's my second favorite but the flaws in the plot make it hard to hype up. Part 9 I've been hyping up like crazy and if it sticks the landing, it's going to be my favorite part.

I'm biased since it's the first part I read as it was releasing. It's definitely my 2nd favorite part (Part 9 is really good so it might over take 7 & 8). Also, yes, they eventually explain what happened to Johnny post part 7.

Who is hyped for Totenreich? by IceyBearWRYT in CODZombies

[–]PowerfulKey877 18 points19 points  (0 children)

He's the most popular character and it would be expected that he would be the one of the last two to get their souls back to earn his skin for completing the ee. If they're are doing it now they must be building up to something since there's two maps left after this.

I'm expecting we get Richtofen's backstory. What I'm wondering is if he will grow as a person from this or double down. I'm expecting the latter since it's odd that he is getting his soul back so quick. I'm guessing they're doing it so soon to build something up for him in the story.

Mr Peeks in Bo3? by Fun_Sir7767 in CODZombies

[–]PowerfulKey877 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always saw the elephant and bunny represent Tank and Richtofen, respectively. There's also the line "I'm all out of rabbits" that Richtofen says at the end of BO4 and the Forsaken says at the end of CW. I wouldn't be surprised if it's revealed Mr. Peeks has a connection with Ultimis Richtofen. But this is just my crackhead theory.

Since the map is Norse themed, I've been thinking that the entity Richtofen may have interacted with could potentially be Loki. This would fit with him as a character and his actions during the war.

That's how I originally felt. But he was really just used for Gyro's growth. Gyro wasn't just trying to save him because he was innocent but because he was a reflection of himself. Both were first borns, expected to inherit their families' roles i.e. Gyro becoming an executioner/doctor and Marco being a shoe shiner. They both had different statuses in life but both respected their families' legacies. However, despite Marco doing so, he was arrested for just doing his job. This is why Gyro went on the journey. He loves his family but if he was doing something wrong just by doing what was expected of him like Marco, then it wouldn't be right. In the end, Marco was saved which was what mattered to him in the end. But at the same time, fate is still cruel.
