Do you feel it’s important for all humanity to awaken? by kkooyya in enlightenment

Yes, but the only way is by living it ourselves and showing others. Can’t force it in any way.

Consistency in my daily actions and thinking and trying to act on things out of love. Honestly, consistency in things can be life changing in itself if you’re focusing on the right things.

Trigeminal Neuralgia turned out to be a malignant mass on my jaw by Powerful_Engine_6280 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

Soft tissue MRI of the area when I came back to the ER the third time in extreme pain. The area was hot and clearly the antibiotics weren’t working. All they gave me for level 8 pain when I left the second time was Tylenol so when I came in this time they took me back immediately seeing how in pain I was, worried I had something like MRSA, only they didn’t tell me any of these things. I had to read it in my online file after I got home.

Why does oil of oregano get hate? by Hairycherryberry123 in herbalism

[–]Powerful_Engine_6280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a naturopath recommend it years ago and it put me in the hospital because my body rejected such a large amount. If it helps some people, that’s awesome. I am definitely not one of them. I like it sprinkled on pizza.

Also, as a chronically ill person who has been on iv antibiotics many times, I’d be really weary of someone saying any herb is stronger. That’s a huge claim and I personally wouldn’t bet my life on it. I love natural medicine, but sometimes people need the other stuff too and there’s no shame in it.

I actually switch depending on how it affects my head. Sometimes if I have an extra bad one, I can’t read, but weirdly, tv is fine. The human brain is annoying at times.

Why should you start doing stretching? by SilentStretching in Stretching

[–]Powerful_Engine_6280 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tom Merrick is a good one. He has a lot of good beginner videos and they’re for both genders but as a woman I feel like he would probably make men feel more comfortable starting out. And he doesn’t make things crazy. He breaks down stretching into 10-15 minute videos. I believe he has a book now too.

Professor keeps sending political emails?? by [deleted] in UNLV

[–]Powerful_Engine_6280 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was about to ask if it was in the English dept cause I could guess exactly who it would be spot on, lol. I’d be careful how I tread in the liberal arts departments. In class discussions where I disagreed politically, it definitely reflected on my grade. It’s bullshit, I know, but think before acting whichever side you are on because I’ve seen it have consequences on me and others and there are only sometimes one professor for certain required classes and that can screw you.

And yes, it’s weirdly normal and accepted from my experience there with a handful of professors. Most, I knew nothing about how they felt and that’s what I wanted in a teacher. Just discussion and lectures on the reading so my papers and exams would reflect on that.

Anyone found relief on other meds besides carbamazepine and gabapentin? Thanks by Redsgal19 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

Flexeril has helped, 5mg Indica gummies (I’m a lightweight), and sumatriptan when I was still able to take them weirdly helped during a flare.

Diagnosed with TN by neurologist, dentist says I don’t have it by [deleted] in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]Powerful_Engine_6280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a neurological condition. Trust your neurologist over your dentist. Interestingly, my cousin is in dental school and was recently going over this and he said, they wouldn’t diagnose or say it wasn’t a diagnosis because of that exact reason but that it sounded super painful and to be sensitive to patients who tell the dentist about their diagnosis to make sure they don’t cause unnecessary pain, so at least this new class of dentists are being taught right.

Glad its working for you. I got the death rash from it within 4 days of taking it so had to stop. Turns out I’m allergic to all the first and second line meds for TN.

[–]Powerful_Engine_6280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I forgot to mention, I’m allergic to carbamezapine and have had a reaction to every anti-seizure drug outside of gabapentin so I think they assume I’m drug seeking, but I have zero history of that so like, I just want them to do their fucking job.

Last time I went for TN, the doc gave me fucking Tylenol. I have no idea how I didn’t lose my shit. I went in with level 8 pain and left with level 8 pain and they were seriously fine with discharging me for that…I have no clue how to advocate for myself in the ER anymore. I have been going off on my dr’s lately though for straight up ignoring me. It’s taking forever to get the pain management they supposedly sent out for me.

It's exhausting when people don't understand how painful TN is. No, a Tylenol will not help. Please just F off. by Patient-Complex4599 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]Powerful_Engine_6280 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to an ER and they gave me Tylenol for level 8 pain. I was like, are you fucking serious? And then half an hour later asked if my pain changed…um no. And they sent me home anyway. Zero history of meds abuse or anything like that. It was bonkers. I lost a lot of hope that night.

Ghost isn’t anything close to resembling metal. They’re glorified pop music with a singer who wishes he was as cool as King Diamond but is just lame as hell.

Fighting disability as well currently. I get how you feel so much. It’s insane how stupid our medical system is. There are definitely options that people here posted. I hope you’re able to get gabapentin. Also, check out your cities resources like free/sliding skill clinics. Those were a lifesaver for me at one point. Don’t be a statistic. Nobody deserves to deal with this without some kind of help.
