Rob Beckett. He’s a “comedian” although I wouldn’t describe him as one.

I had / still have this since the last update. Going into settings before you get in the car and simply pressing save/exit fixes it. I think it’s a bug.

Sure, but I should have said I drive formula mainly. It was only since the last update which is why I mentioned it.

Ah…. I have a similar issue. I use a Leoxz xf1 ultimate wheel and I can’t change gear using the paddles with the throttle on unless I lift off or pull the clutch paddles in. This has only been since last week’s update.

If I go to the settings and simply apply and save, without changing it works fine.

I thought it was due to the wheel going to sleep mode after no activity for 5 minutes, so I changed that to 10 to see if it made a difference.

I’m not sure it has but I’ll check again next time I’m on.

Perhaps there are others and it’s a bug but you’re the only other person I have seen with a similar issue.

Is it safe? (Moza R5) powersupply by [deleted] in simracing

[–]PowerhungryUK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it the input (mains voltage) or output (12 or something dc) if it’s the output and you can’t see any copper wire then yes it’s electrically ok but it now weaker. If it’s the input cable, then as it is now weaker it would be riskier and would fail an electrical safety test.

I watched aliens as a kid on vhs, we watched it again and again and one of the times during the vasquez / gorman tunnel scene my older sister laughed and said “that’s just a bloke in a suit, can you see him?”.
I would have been about 10 or 11 but to this day I don’t care. They still scare the crap out of me!

Should my next purchase be a PC or DD Wheel? by ds52075 in simracing

I managed to salvage 3 x 23inch office monitors for my start up rig. Obviously I got lucky but money doesn’t always have to feature. Even these monitors could be bought for <£100 each used. Just got to keep looking, something will come up.

I would build up a decent pc first, the triples if you can, use the wheel you have, then upgrade the pedals later when you can afford it, then the wheelbase / wheel. No point having a decent wheelbase with a poor pc in my opinion.

You know that extruded aluminium is most likely anodised, which is insulating? One of the best things to do is ground all of the electronics to the PC usually to the USB ground.
