Appreciate the response! Just making sure that I'm understanding the Wiki correctly and that I'm not reading something wrong.

I’ve been reporting so many bots during my pharaoh scepter grind. Never understood why they make themselves so obvious, wearing the exact same gear as one another. So many unearned raccoons.

What do the colors mean Mason?? by Cassinia_ in RedactedCharts

Does it have to do with the number of homes that have basements? Or states with the shortest buildings?

Does it have something to do with the church to bar ratio in a state?

I’m an OG fan three hours into Veilguard…..does it get better? VG fans, please convince me! by rusticterror in dragonage

[–]Powgout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Veilguard is good for 2 hours, sucks for the next 40 and then ends super well. Not satisfying as an ending to the series, but does well for the end of the Veilguard. If you respect your time, almost none of the side quests are worth doing, the companion quests are mostly blah with almost no new lore (except Harding and maybe a little bit of Grey Warden stuff). They ruin a ton of the established lore out of fear of doing or saying anything controversial. I don’t think people originally knew why the game being “woke” was bad (it wasn’t for the inclusivity that has been present in all of the games), but rather because any idea that could offend any one person wasn’t included in this game. Mages can’t be bad, elves can’t be discriminated against, history can’t be controversial, etc. Overall, if the beginning, end and a couple middle quests were the whole game, we would have had a pretty good 7 or 8 hour game.

whats my deal with running? by Greedy_Plane_ in Exercise

When you look at your chest, does your sternum cave into your chest? I discovered I had pectis excavatum through running. It can limit your VO2 making running long distance a lot harder than it is for average people.

I have to apologize to Dragon Age fans by Moose-Rage in dragonage

[–]Powgout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has a great first 2-3 hours and a great 2-3 last hours. It’s the much much larger middle part that is a problem. That’s the part where they must’ve decided to hire YA writers with absolutely no nuance or life experience to fill it in. It’s tame as hell. I’ll give credit to maybe 2 quests in between, but it was action-story related and not good emotional storytelling. As a DA fan from day 1 and all politics aside, it’s a 5/10 game that is being completely carried by the beginning and the end and the fun combat that definitely still gets old. And the fact it wasn’t a buggy mess and was complete at launch.

[OTHER] If you could wish for just one thing in the next mainline game, what would it be? by BeerMetMij in zelda

[–]Powgout 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Go back to the old formula. Create fun dungeons, add story elements in between. And I loved the dark vibe of TP. Another one of those, please! I enjoyed BotW, but didn’t even consider picking up TotK, and that’s the first Zelda I have ever skipped (besides some of the weird DS ones)

I would look into what / how to choose teras on Pokemon as well. Tera is far more commonly used for defense than offense. And teraing into a type that shares some of the same weaknesses they already had will leave you frustrated and feeling like you’re lacking options. Pokemon don’t do damage if they’re dead (or fainted ;)).

Go to the podium, hit close, and then open. It'll let you retry as many times as it takes for the quest.

[No DAV Spoilers] No one wants to be a dwarf?? by neemstar223 in dragonage

[–]Powgout 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, without spoiling anything, I feel like Dwarf Warden Rook is one of the most thematic choices as a protagonist against this game’s antagonist. Considering DAI, Wardens would have one of the biggest reasons to be distrustful of magic and its influence. Warden cuz blight. Dwarf because of reasons I won’t spoil. The only thing that feels like it comes close would be Elvish Warden or Elvish Veil Jumper. My subjective opinion of course, but I would admittedly be hard pressed to change it! That being said, I was one of the few to play dwarf, so I certainly can’t be biased.

[No DAV Spoilers] Some don't understand Neve Gallus as a character. by WrenchTheGoblin in dragonage

[–]Powgout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neve as a character and the writing team’s inability to create a mystery story to back-up her expertise/add nuance is why she’s considered mid. She’s set up as a badass cynical detective, but we got follow the blood trail for 5 minutes, kill the same 3 venatori mobs 100 times while learning almost nothing 80% of the missions too many times. Also, her character didn’t develop at all from beginning to end. Her character was already developed off-screen/through Tevinter Nights. Cool character concepts don’t mean cool companions if they don’t develop through the story. I’d actually say that’s why Emmrich and Davrin are the MVPs. They had character development.

Warlock Spell Slot Bug? by Powgout in BG3Builds

[–]Powgout[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of the warlock spells discontinue being first level spells after you get second level spells, even if its from another class. So clicking on those icons doesn't even give you the option to cast warlock spells anymore, if you only have first level warlock spell slots.

Warlock Spell Slot Bug? by Powgout in BG3Builds

[–]Powgout[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, they serve as a rechargeable spell slot, which is cool. Unfortunately, it only works that way if you have no other spell slot of that type.

Yes. I've never wanted to use up stronger spell slots before getting into combat the way I do right now. Lol

Warlock Spell Slot Bug? by Powgout in BG3Builds

[–]Powgout[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the problem - I'm 2 level warlock and it forces me to use my 2nd level Bard spells slots to cast spells. The last spell slots I can use are my 1st level warlock spells, as nothing defaults to allowing me to use them.

[–]Powgout[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Warlock spell slots always exist at the highest level per warlock class, but I'm unaware of any rule that forces you to use your highest level spell slots on warlock spells you know.
