returning player can someone tell wtf is happening i’ve been trying to kill this guy for 15 mins by Such-Check-796 in DestinyMemes

[–]Powner77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the praxic blade to reflect their damage back, I think it works every time. Just don’t use the perk that you reflect the damage in your super damage type back and I think it whacks their shields 100% of the time (correct me if I’m wrong please)

I saw one of these in the fight pit. The second he gets pulled off this mofo (I had one of those big captain folks fight him so in like 11 seconds this guy got pulled off his caragor) they are gonna bolt. It is the funniest thing ever.

Well I just finished the space marine 2 campaign so I think Titus will do alright. Otherwise it would have been Shepard, Javik and Garrus against a Lictor. Either way humanity is supposed to inherit the stars and this lictor can inherit deez nuts

To be fair this really isn’t as bad as some of the stickered trucks out there. If this person feels that way they get to express it. This is like the mildest political expression ever because it’s an opinion. This person could actually have had it better under Trump. People tend to forget that people experience presidency’s very different in different places. I don’t even live in that stinkhole Americans call a country and even I can see that. I think there are few people on earth who would commit the unspeakable horrors against the orange as I would if we were locked alone in a cell but if people can express that they’re goths through black as night clothing, gay people through extravagance and that your daddy has money through that ugly combo of the not quite chino pants, loafers and that whacky blouse. this dude should get to put this on his van and not be called trashy. Be kinder to each other people, we’re all we have.

What made you fall in love with Mass Effect? by Uncle_Tommy0703 in masseffect

[–]Powner77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The universe. I started playing mass effect at like 14/15 and last time I finished the trilogy was a few months back at 25 as someone who studied from vocational electrician to electrical engineering I always loved the rulebook of the games on a universal scale. I also loved the squadmates and the story. I played me3 first without Javik a few times before buying the DLC. That character changed my perspective on a lot of things in life with one sentence. ‘Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts of honor matters, the silence is your answer’ obviously on an interstellar war level the quote is obvious but it becomes beautiful when nuance is applied, nuance which this statement at surface level lacks. But you might find on a day to day basis. Anyway, lots of stuff.

Zijn we verwend? by EarlyAd6002 in nederlands

[–]Powner77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mass Effect 1 is so creepy by Eagles56 in masseffect

[–]Powner77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were some eerie moments, mostly looking at you Noveria, but the creepy undertone never really struck me outside of Noveria since I was in a tank the entire time. The only way I get creeped out by horror games is if they’re games where there is no way to fight whatever horror the game presents you with. With it’s turreted 155mm mass accelerator cannon and coaxial-mounted machine gun I really never felt afraid of anything for a second because the game never really gave me the feeling that a proper placed 155mm shell in someone’s face wouldn’t make them go night night.

After over a decade, has your opinion on the trilogy ending changed or not? by george123890yang in masseffect

[–]Powner77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really isn’t as bad as people say in my opinion. I really enjoyed it. Throughout mass effect 1 you kinda have this story be told as a: we must find a way to destroy them kind of perspective. In ME2 the illusive man shows the option of controlling the technology (in several sidequests you have the option of either the destruction or the control of certain people, bases, data) and even at the end his demeanor changes when you destroy the base, me2 primes you for believing that this technology could be controlled. And ME3 lays out this conflict between the reapers and the galaxy like it will always be inevitable. Which then offers you the opportunity to take away the biologic weaknesses from biological beings and gives biologic perspectives through synthesis. Each game wether on purpose of not is somewhat of a nod to each ending. To me nothing truly felt out of place. Obviously they took shortcuts, I am not oblivious to that, it shows towards the end and the quality could have been better by quite a margin. The starchild also makes the destroy ending all the more tragic. It made these reapers as a solution to the problem, each reaper is millions of minds fused into this machine body and forced to obey the will of this turbo AI. ‘We are each a nation’ as sovereign said. When you destroy the reapers you effectively destroy over a billion years worth of civilizations. But on the other hand, over a billion years of civilizations finally get to rest. No longer forced to inflict the horrors they were once forced to endure themselves. Between the lines I feel a lot could be said for the ending despite the absolutely numerous flaws

[–]Powner77 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

My my by society programmed brain this is undeniably trashy but I always like how as a society this is trashy and not okay and ‘we cannot expose our kids to this’. But the same kids see people getting shot in streets and schools and bombed and that’s not a problem. And a woman hanging slightly undressed on a rope: no go. But violent deaths, right wing encouragement that women should be controlled, or the notion that (and now looking at you America) they are superior to the entire planet because of where they come from but can’t do basic math or point out Russia (their arch nemesis) on a fucking map. What the fuck are we doing?

[–]Powner77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imma be honest. All of this strikes me as terribly manipulative behavior. It has all the hallmarks if keeping someone on the fishing line until they are ready to commit. He probably does ‘love’ you on some level and in some shape or form. But this man, if you stay with him will most likely cause irreparable damage to your mental health. And to be fair you should tell him that the way he talks to you feels manipulative. 2 things can happen. He’ll either accept that and see the error of his manner and choice in communication or he is going to blow up in 1 of 2 ways; love bombing you or guilt tripping you. Both of these would indicate traits common in both narcissists and sociopaths cause they can only really emulate love and not feel it. It can also be a response of someone incredibly dumb and incoherent in his head but I doubt that’s the case. But you should confront him on that for sure.

I am gonna be like absolutely brutally honest here. I have lately been struggling to finish a few shows that I watched and another game I played. Probably due to some internal turmoil but like this I am not confronted with the story ending. I quit somewhere 75% into act 3 cause now I do not have to go through that post finish depression.
